Nadia
Ugh. Monday!
Who loves Monday? Coz that's not me.
"Is something wrong? You've been sighing a lot?"
"I'm exhausted, Will. I'm tired of school."
He chuckled.
"You're almost done with high school. Hang in there."
"I'll try to."
Will turned his attention back to driving me to school.
I successfully made it to my desk after Will dropped me off without collapsing on the floor. I don't know, I don't have the energy to do anything today.
"You okay?"
I looked up to see Kaia standing by my desk.
"Yeah."
I'm so confused.
"Okay."
Uncomfortable silence lingered in the air as she just stood there staring at me, not saying anything.
"Do you need something?"
"Uhm, no. I just want... I want to be friends with you."
"Right."
"Talk to you later, friend."
That was weird.
When Blakey took his seat, Mrs Green was already in front to start her lesson.
"I saw Kaia by your desk this morning. What was that about?"
Blakey asked as I walked with him to the cafeteria.
"She said she wants to be friends with me."
I shrugged.
"That's new."
"You mean weird?"
He chuckled and then nodded his head in agreement.
"Nadia!"
I turned around to see Kaia and her two friends approaching me.
"Why don't you sit with us for lunch?"
"I already have my friends I sit with every day."
I replied.
"That's too bad. I wanted us to get to know each other better."
She pouted.
"Too bad."
I gave her a tight-lipped smile and walked away from them.
"Come on, let's get you fed."
I laughed.
"I'm not a baby."
Blakey just shrugged, chuckling.
