His gaze fell on my swollen face: "Melody, does it hurt a lot?"

His hand trembled as he tried to touch me, but I instinctively stepped back, avoiding his touch.

A flash of pain crossed his eyes, and he pressed his lips together, unusually humble: "I was wrong about this. Can we go home?"

"It's also because you haven't been home for so long, always training Levi. That's why I didn't think it through clearly."

Listening to Dashiell's explanation, I found it somewhat amusing.

"Are you blaming your failure on me?"

"Dashiell, instead of blaming me, why don't you think about how you were the one who cheated first in this relationship?"

I pulled at the corners of my mouth, but couldn't even manage the most basic polite smile: "Scarlett just told me that in the third month of our relationship, you gave her app permissions."

"You don't need me to remind you what that means, do you?"
