Chapter 1

Five years ago, I dumped my boyfriend at our graduation ceremony.

He couldn't let go, trying every way to find out news about me, but to no avail.

Five years later, I'm working part-time as a stand-in for blind dates, and my match turns out to be him.

Not only that, but my new boss has also become him.

He mocks me, taunts me, and threatens me.

In the end, he kneels beside me, crying and begging for my forgiveness.

I have a part-time job, arranging blind dates for people.

My main task is to find ways to discourage the other party.

This time, I've taken on another blind date assignment.

The client said her blind date is a serious, meticulous person who pays attention to every detail.

So I dressed myself up like a street punk and went to the agreed-upon coffee shop.

The waiter led me to the designated spot, and to my surprise, the other person was already there.

From behind, I could see the person was wearing a suit with broad shoulders, giving me an oddly familiar feeling.

I shook my head vigorously, dismissing the unrealistic thoughts in my mind. How could it be him?

But looking at this person's back, it did fit the serious and proper description given by my employer.

So I asked the waiter to leave, then took out my cheap knockoff handbag and swung it around as I walked up to this person, plopping down unceremoniously on the couch opposite him.

After sitting down, I didn't even lift my head and started crudely scratching my scalp.

Before leaving home, I had sprinkled a lot of loose powder on this pink and green wig I was wearing, just to disgust my employer's blind date.

I kept scratching my scalp as I looked up, and spoke in a cocky tone:

"Yo, that's not cool..."

Before I could finish my sentence, I froze.

What was Nash doing here?

And he was here for........blind date.

Of course, after all these years, he would want to date and get married too.

I understand, but it still hurts.

"Going for this look now? Experiencing life again?"

Nash recognized me too, his tone playful and disdainful.

I could see the surprise in his eyes as well. He probably never expected to see me again.

"...It's been a long time. I..."

I was at a loss for words. Though I managed to force a smile, my voice still trembled.

I knew I should leave quickly, but finally seeing the person I'd been longing for day and night, I couldn't move my feet.

"Oh? Changed your name too? I could've sworn today's blind date wasn't a Levi."

Nash lounged with one leg crossed, his eyes fixed intently on me.

And under his icy gaze, I couldn't even lift my head.

That's right, I shouldn't be able to lift my head.

Five years ago, I was the one who broke up with him, abandoning him with such a shameless and despicable excuse.

At this moment, standing before him, I felt like a guilty criminal, exposed and nowhere to hide.

I knew I had to leave.

"Uh, actually my friend asked me to come, but I have something to do so I'll be going now."

Before I could finish speaking, I stood up and headed for the door.Nash didn't say anything more, nor did he try to stop me.

I ran out of the coffee shop in one breath, not even stopping after I left the store, but continuing to run forward.

I ran until I tasted blood in my throat, ran until my heart started to ache violently.

I quickly rummaged through that cheap knockoff purse, but found nothing.

I thought I'd only need a little while to get through this blind date, so I didn't bring my medication.

But who could have guessed I'd run into Nash?

Survival instinct made me dial the phone, and the other end picked up quickly.

"Jasper, I... I need medicine, I..."

But I passed out before I could finish speaking.

As I fainted, I felt satisfied, because I had seen Nash.

Five years, and I still saw him.
