REJECTED.

VESPERA.

"No, thank you. I would love to dine alone for tonight" I told Madame Garcia, but more like begging as I looked at her with pleas in my eyes.

She nodded at me and ordered the maids to bring my food before departing. When I opened the tray, my tummy rumbled and I salivated, amused by this tasty dish in front of me.

In my entire life, I have never had anything that looks this good and healthy. I dug in immediately, forgetting about my worries temporarily and just focusing on my meal.

A few minutes later, I was done and the plates were cleared before I was left alone to sleep. I lay my back on the bed, drifting into thoughts.

'Tomorrow was the festival. Tomorrow would probably be when I would lose my virginity, and it wasn't to a guy I loved. Tears dripped from the corner of my eyes as I closed them to sleep.

....

"You look so stunning" one of the maids gasped, as she helped tie my dress from behind. I looked into the mirror and somehow couldn't recognize myself.

I was dressed in a tight gown, with an overflowing skirt.

It was silver in color and a masterpiece of ancient fashion designers. Intricate patterns were made unto the dress giving it beautification.

The fitted bodice was adorned with gemstones while the full skirt fell into soft folds around my feet.

My dark, long, curly hair was carefully rolled into a bun and pinned down with golden, pins. Designer clips with shapes of butterflies were attached to each side of my hair.

I felt exactly like the maid described. Stunning, beautiful, and pretty. I smiled at my reflection, loving my look and this gave me a little bit more courage, knowing I wouldn't feel out of place at the festival.

"It is time, milady," The maids informed me, and I breathed in before gathering the skirts of my dress up so I could be able to move.

We left the room and headed towards the hall, where the festival was supposed to take place.

'Would Mum, Dad, and Celestial be around?' I pondered, not feeling too excited to see them. I noticed Madame Garcia wasn't around and inquired about her.

"She is on her way; she had something to take care of." One of the maids responded to me while holding my dress from behind.

I mouthed an "oh," feeling a little down; she wasn't going to accompany me into the hall. I could say she was the only wolf around here; I felt safe and okay with her, though we had just met.

I gasped as we entered the hall. Everywhere was dazzling and everyone seemed to be in a festive mood as you could hear the laughter and chuckles.

Candles and lanterns were lit in the hall, giving it a lovely glow, rose petals and blooms adorning the walls as balloons floated in the air.

There was a statue of the moon goddess in the center. Glowing and sparkling. The star of the festival. Flowers adorned it and people moved closer to pay their respects and drop their tributes.

Everywhere was vibrant. The best musicians in the realm were all present and were playing a beautiful, alluring tune. Children ran around happily, their faces beaming as they jumped around to the beat.

A glow found its way to my face, and just then, I perceived the most tempting smell ever. It was captivating, luring, and enchanting.

My feet moved on it's own and I headed towards the direction this scent was coming from.

"Milady?" I heard the maids called out in confusion as they trailed behind me probably wondering where I was headed to. I had no idea either. All I knew was that I just wanted to find the owner of this scent and mingle with it.

I looked around, unsure and then I came face to face with the most beautiful being I had ever set my eyes on. Long, fiery, dark red hair, glowing silver orbs, cherry, red lips.

It was a male and he was so goddamn pretty, especially with the way his long, golden robe clung to his body, his belt not tied probably, so bits of his muscular chest were exposed.

I gulped down my saliva. Just then, another male joined him, and they looked exactly the same, except this male had golden hair. He turned to look at me, too, and I reared back in shock.

"MATE!" Dawn growled in my head possessively before jumping excitedly in my head, nudging me to move closer to them and seek their comfort, but I remained standing where I was, just looking and wondering how two males could be so perfect.

Just then Madame Garcia appeared, a knowing smile on her face as she commented.

"I see you have met your breeder, my lords". I furrowed my brows at her at first, confused.

'Breeder, my lords?'. Then it hit me, they were the Lycan kings.

"And our mates?" Dawn inquired just as shocked, because she could also feel the pull towards them as I did.

Not just to the red-haired guy, but also to the golden-haired guy.

"What?" The golden-haired guy exclaimed while the red-haired guy's eyes widened before his jaw dropped. There was silence for a while as we all stood in our thoughts.

"It can't be," The golden-haired guy suddenly growled, and I shivered, moving backward a little as I noticed the fury growing in his sliver orbs.

The red-haired just stood there, looking at me but with contempt.

For some unknown reason, it felt as if my heart was being ripped out and squeezed. They didn't want me, they didn't want us. It was obvious.

I was about to summon the courage and speak up when I heard the most, soft voice ever.

"Kieran, Kalisto, there you are" A girl appeared out of nowhere, dressed in an elegant gown. She has long blue hair and blue orbs, which complement her features.

"Lady Lily," Madame Garcia gasped, bowing towards her, but that didn't catch my interest. It was the way their eyes softened, filled with adoration and love towards her.

My heart clenched tightly as I tried to breathe.

'Who was she?' I pondered.
