He stumbled through the streets, his vision blurred with tears. His body trembled, his breaths shallow. There was only one thing he could do, ask Sumi for help.

Griffin : They're gone… my family… they're all gone.

His voice cracked, his legs giving away. He didn't care how he looked–broken, lost, drowning in grief.

Griffin : Help me…

Sumi froze, his eyes widened.

Sumi : What…?

The word barely left his lips.

[A moment later after Sumi heard that, Griffin fell down to the floor and again became unconscious. Sumi took Griffin to his bed for his rest]

The next morning…

Sumi : So now, how will I carry this guy to school?

Mhmmm… lemme see…

Glass Magic, Parallel Clones

Multiple physical appearances of Sumi are summoned for carrying Griffin to school.

Sensei : Ok guys, today we're gonna have another match.

Today's match will consist of two teams, with Team 1 being Sumi and Yuno and Team 2 being Meguru and Yuki. Now let's head over to the ground, shall we?

[The class made it to the ground for the match]

[Yuno tries to intimidate Meguru and started commenting before the match was about the begin]

Yuno : Hey Meguru, you think that you can stand against my shikigami?

Meguru : I thought we were going to use our katanas, not shikigami…

With the countdown beginning from 3 seconds,... Sensei used his magic to show a red smoke so that the match begins.

[Yuno and Meguru clash their swords on each other, a burst of white-hot sparks scattered like fleeting stars. Both of them got pushed back and again engages for their battle]

Sumi : Glass Magic, Reflected Ray

In an instant, Reflected Ray unleashed it's energy towards Yuki, amplified and razor-sharp like shattered glass in a storm.

[The ray did hit Yuki but her defense was incredible that the shot wasn't enough to penetrate through her]

Yuki : These cheap shots will not hurt me one bit, don't forget I am the sister of the Assassin leader "Kyoshube".

Sound Magic, Sound Boom

The air trembled as the mage clapped their hands together, unleashing Sound Boom—a deafening shockwave that rippled outward like a sonic explosion. The battlefield quaked, they staggered, and the very air cracked under the sheer force of vibrating destruction.

The fight was going intense as it took many rookie assassins attention on the ground, as many explosions and quakes occurred, with Meguru and Yuno attacking each other with their katanas and Yuki dominating upon Sumi.

As the fight continued, suddenly Lord Kai's guards came to the Assassin's School to take over Griffin who was shifted to the school's private hospital.

Sumi : What's happening?

Who are you and why are you here?

Griffin, who again gains his consciousness, finds himself in the bed of his school's private hospital. He takes a look at the window near his bed.

Griffin : Why are those people here? No… I need to reach their quickly!

[Griffin immediately gets off from his bed as he ran towards the ground to reach the scene]

[The guard didn't hesitate and started attacking the assassins as Kaito, Sumi, Gensu, Kraken, Sae and Yuki engaged in the battle. However their magic and combat skills weren't enough to take down the guards as they were getting dominated]

Griffin appears in the scene, with tears coming out of his eyes, shouting at the guards.

Griffin : STOP THIS, OTHERWISE I WILL KILL YOU!

[After the appearance of Griffin towards the guards, they immediately ran for Griffin to stab him with their sword]

[Sumi moved towards Griffin to save him from the guards]

Steel flashed. The guard's sword arced toward its target—deadly, precise. But before it could strike, a figure lunged between them.

"No!"

The blade sank deep into his side, a gasp escaping his lips as he staggered. Blood darkened his tunic, yet he still managed a weak smile. Then his legs buckled, and he collapsed into his friend's arms.

Griffin, watching his best friend die right before him on his hand, was left traumatized. It made Griffin get upon his knees as he started crying about losing a person that also has valued him.

Griffin : What the hell… you just snatched my friend that has values for me! WHY? BUT WHY!?

Yuno also watches the scene, as Sumi gets killed and left him with atrocity. Now he wants to take revenge for avenging his classmate, and performs a ritual for summoning someone.

Yuno : It's time for you to come out.

With the Dignity of Light, I summon Ryomen.

A blinding sigil flared beneath Yuno's feet as the air crackled with raw energy. From the swirling vortex of summoned power, Ryomen emerged—a towering dragon with obsidian scales gleaming like polished steel. His twin horns curved like blades, and golden eyes burned with fierce intelligence. With a single powerful beat of his wings, the ground trembled, and his deep, rumbling voice echoed.

Meguru, also watching the summoning of Yuno's dragon, decides to summon his shikigami now.

Meguru : I need to assist him, now it's our time.

With this treasure of Lord Gedo, I summon you, Agahito.

Dark mist coiled as the summoning circle blazed to life, and from its depths, Agahito emerged—a towering figure clad in shadowed armor. His massive wings unfurled, each feather edged like a sharpened blade, casting an ominous silhouette against the sky. In his right hand, he gripped a colossal sword, its edge glinting with a hungry, unnatural gleam. With a slow, measured step, he raised his weapon, his voice a deep growl.

Yuno orders Ryomen to use Gamma Blast, Meguru orders Agahito to use his destructive slash upon the guards.

[Ryomen and Agahito launched their attack, even the ground received a crater, pushing the guards down. It wasn't enough to defeat the guards]

Guard 1 : These weaklings can't kill us.

Guard 2 : We'll finish them then.

Kaiser, who was hiding somewhere in the school, taking a look at the battle.

Kaiser : I am not liking this mess, I can finish these guards with a blow, but still, I have to wait until Drako's last rise.

As the weight of grief pressed down, the world around him blurred, colors bleeding into darkness. Then—silence.

When he blinked, he was somewhere else. A vast, empty space stretched endlessly, neither light nor shadow truly existing. The air felt heavy, thick with unspoken emotions, as if the very walls of this place pulsed with his sorrow. Echoes of his own thoughts whispered around him, circling like unseen specters.

Drako : So, you've finally come here…

[The voice rumbled, deep and knowing]

Drako : By any chance, are you my host? How can someone like you, a weakling, will become a vessel for my soul? You are just good for nothing.

[Drako's terrifying eyes was gazing upon Griffin, as Griffin was having a look at the dark figure with his eyes widened, confused on what was going on with him]

Drako : How about this, let me devour you completely, in exchange I can kill those assholes who killed your dear friend.

Griffin : NO

[Griffin said that with a bold, large voice. He's voice getting aggressive seconds by seconds said to Drako]

Griffin : You think I would let them go away easily? They killed my family, a friend that has values for me. You think I would cry continuously doing nothing.

Let me tell you. From now on, you will help me to grow. I have no clue on how powerful you are, I won't let you devour me. I WANT TO KILL THEM.

Drako : Now you're taking my interests.

[Griffin's words towards Drako gets his interest]

Drako : You're really a thing that is able to control my soul, my powers.

Griffin : I can.

Drako : I'll hand you my power then. But! It won't be 100% of my power but a quarter of it.

I'll introduce to you my path of powers, each containing 25% of my powers. Would be a long yapping lecture but the time in the outside world has been frozen. I promise it won't take that much time so be silent and listen.

First Path, also known as Preta. You can access my techniques to learn them and receive quite a destructive arsenal.

Second Path, also known as Narka. You can access another quarter of my techniques and gain some abilities.

Third Path, also known as Ashura. You can access an army of mine.

Fourth Path, also known as Deva. You can achieve my God form. But, it might be impossible for you.

Griffin : Don't waste my time, tell me these later.

Drako : It's your choice, go ahead.

[Griffin wakes up to the reality, as he let his friend's body rest on the ground]

[The air near his hand, sparkles near it as be summons his katanas, with a pure dark aura appears]

[Griffin approaches the guard in a flash, slicing through his neck, as the Guard 2 didn't realize he has been killed, he takes a look at his body as he's head falls to the ground]

Guard 1 : You scum!

[He attacks Griffin, however he dodges]

Griffin : You have to pay. Let's end this.

[Griffin's cold and brave voice, frightened the guard as he gets decapitated in a second]

Kaiser, who was watching the scene, smiled ferociously.

Kaiser : Guess I found him…

He wasn't the only spectator, but the Assassin's leaders were also spectating, as they watched the guards getting killed by Griffin.

Kyoshube : Well, there y'all are. I want to announce something.

It's an order from the master, that some of you great talents are selected for training in Main Assassins Headquarters.

Sensei : And who could they be?

[Kyoshube points his finger to Kaiser, Yuno, Yuki, Meguru, Kraken, Kaito,gensu, Sae and Griffin… ]

Kyoshube : Watching you all fight against them, shows your braveness and hence we select you people.

Griffin : And what if I refuse your offer?

[Griffin was gazing upon the assassin leader with his cold eyes and dark aura]

Kaito : Bro, you have gotten stronger. Why are you leaving us?

Griffin : I have my plans to work on and different targets to go for.

I have a different pathway and none of you belong to that.

Kaiser, who was using his mind to communicate, gets to talk with his master.

Kaiser : Master, what should I do now?

Demon King : Stay there, observe for a little longer.

Within that moment, Griffin flashes away and disappears from the scene leaving no evidence of his presence, like an assassin would do.

[Griffin was casually running away from the school with a rapid velocity, suddenly senses another aura behind. Without hesitation, he throws a kunai behind him as he realize someone was following him]

It was none other than Daichi who was following him…
