author's notice, power system for the novel

Hello there, if you reading this then you must have just started the novel and searching for the power system and stuff. This is my first novel and I am not gonna sugarcoat it, I am doing this for a hobby and nothing else so there will be no premium chapters or patreon special stuff. Through If you wanna help, mind sharing it to others with same preferences and just post your comments. Anyway let's get to the power system.

The novel is mainly a undertale fanfic, so magic is necessary.

This is the way magic is divided:-

1. Stage - instead of the regular fantasy magic circle stuff, the magic is divided in stages. Stage determines the difficulty of mastering it and it's potential, takes sans's bone magic as example it is considered a 5th stage because it flexible while undyne's spear magic is 3rd tier cause u can't do stuff like change the shape of spears.

2. Rank- rank is basically someone's progress in a magic and max rank is equal to magic stage. Ex-If a magic is 5th stage it will have 5 ranks and each rank reached will unlock a new factor or power like if sans's bone magic at 1st rank is like just creating bones then at 2nd he can make the bones come out of the ground at some speed and at 3rd the bones can become flexible while getting more tough at same time.

3rd enhancement - Everytime a magic reaches a new rank, all factors or powers from previous ranks get a enhancement to them.

4. Merging - At max rank, a person can merge his magic with another magic of max rank he knows. The new magic formed can change from person to person despite same magic merged. The merged magics fall back to first rank after a merge. The new magic's rank depends on the stage and synergy of the merged magics like if you mix magics with no synergy you might get same or lower stage magic or if you mix those with high synergy the new magic maybe 1 or 2 ranks higher.

5. Inherent magic and race traits- monsters have a special magic related to their race like sans have his bone magic. Monsters have sub-divisions and some monsters maybe incompatible with some magic due to their race. Humans don't have a inherent magic but their mana capacity is higher than monsters and mana is more potent but there mana regeneration is slow and have no regeneration unless they use magic or make a magic core.

Magic core is a future mechanic I will introduce in after some chapters.
