Just a difficult decision

Salin looked at me with a smile that warmed my heart.

And of course, I took the chance. Even though he said he'd rather work, his face lit up the moment I mentioned I needed to go to Promise to take care of something.

I want to show Salin that he's my everyday choice. But he still seems to be processing whether he wants to live this way. As far as I'm concerned, I want this for the rest of my life.

I took Salin to my office at the Promise Club. He kept asking about every little detail in the room.

You really read all these books?

I had plenty of time.

Salin looked like a happy tourist in a new city, taking everything in. He was surprised when I showed him where I kept the weapons.

Do we have that in our house too?

Our house? — I raised an eyebrow.

He seemed embarrassed, pouted, then gave me a light punch.

Do we or not?
