When I surrender

The hall was still echoing with applause as So Yong moved among the guests. Black dress, dark lipstick, and a sharp gaze. She stopped beside Jung, who leaned casually against a column, a glass of whiskey in hand.

— He did well. — So Yong commented, watching Jun-ho up on the stage, still under the spotlight.

Jung let out a short laugh.

— He kills with presence now. Must be feeling on top of the world.

His smile was genuine. But So Yong couldn't help but tease.

— Maybe he won't even have time to talk to you tonight.

— And he doesn't need to. Let him enjoy the moment.

So Yong pouted, and her husband laughed, pulling her by the waist.

— We can enjoy it too. Always. — he said.

Jun-ho lowered the mic and stepped down calmly. The audience erupted in polite applause, unsure if it was appropriate... until Thomas started clapping hard. The others followed.
