I lay her down on the hospital bed, and Chloe rushes in with a team of doctors.

Her eyes snap up to me in rage. She wanted to say a lot, but she refrained, knowing my position.

Without a word, I walk out. I couldn't help but run my fingers over my face.

Astrid was receiving death threats.

All this time, someone was trying to kill her and that too, inside my pack house.

"What did you do now, dammit?" Dom comes rushing in to grab my collar, and I say nothing at all. Lost, perplexed, in my thoughts. Oblivious to him shaking me to get his answers.

"Speak, dammit! Your Highness, you blocked your mind link. Beta Ron told me to update you."
