His cold hands move up my thighs, ascending higher, only to suddenly stop.

My hands clench into fists above my head.

What happened now? I wonder when suddenly a palm is pressed on my forehead, and my eyes snap open.

What is he doing? His brows are furrowed, those grey eyes squinting, and his palm is on my forehead.

"You are burning up," he declares.

He suddenly lets go of my arms, and I hug myself to avoid his eyes.

"Oh... so that's why I was feeling dizzy. I have a fever."

"Have you eaten something?" He lifts my chin to pull the apple from my mouth.

I grind my teeth to avoid his eyes, gripping the edge of the shelf. I was about to step down when he moves closer to me.

Blocking me.

"I asked you something, doll. Have you eaten something?" His voice suddenly goes stern.

That playful tone in his voice is gone.

I grit my teeth, seething.
