As soon as Keshav fell asleep, Sejal quietly made her way to Shashank's room. The dim glow of the bedside lamp illuminated his face, revealing that he was still awake, lost in thought.
Sejal closed the door behind her and locked it before turning toward him. "Why aren't you asleep yet?" she asked, her voice calm but firm.
Shashank let out a deep sigh and ran a hand through his hair. "I feel guilty" he admitted after a moment. "I lied to Tripti today."
Sejal raised an eyebrow, taking slow, deliberate steps toward him. "And why, exactly, are you feeling guilty now?" she asked, folding her arms. "Is this the first time you've ever lied to someone?"
