Sejal felt as if she was being suffocated by the walls of Keshav's apartment. Every breath she took felt heavier than the last. The moment Keshav locked the door behind him, she could feel the tension rising in the air, like an approaching storm.
Inside the bedroom, she sat on the floor, her back pressed against the cold, hard wall, her knees pulled to her chest. She had buried her face between them, letting out muffled sobs that wracked her entire body. Her tears had already soaked through her clothes, and her entire body trembled as wave after wave of emotions crashed over her.
Betrayal.
Heartbreak.
Fear.
She didn't even realize when Keshav had entered the room. It was only when she felt his presence close beside her, his hand gently rubbing her back, that she flinched.
