Emma stood on veranda , slightly out of breath . Her eyes check the surroundings as if any more guild representatives to appear at any of moment .
Kaizen opening the door and looked at her.
"Let me guess," leaning casually against the doorframe, "a bunch of guilds are suddenly interested in you right ? "
Emma wiping a strand of hair from her face. "You could say that. Who knew a bit of sword magic would make me so popular?
I didn't realize running away would become part of my exercise routine."
Kaizen chuckled and stepped aside, inviting her in.
"Well, come in, Miss Popularity. I have tea and some peace and quiet here. Just don't tell anyone you're hiding with me."
Emma walked in, grateful for his help.
His house was cozy and a bit messy, with bits of inventions lying around. She felt safe.
"Thanks, Kaizen. I really needed somewhere I could just relax without being chased by guilds."
Kaizen handing her a warm cup of tea.
"So what's the plan? Are you going to hide out, change your look, maybe grow a disguise mustache?"
Emma shaking her head. "I'm thinking more like a nap and then a plan to stay low until everyone forgets about me."
"Feel free to stay as long as you need. Just make sure your escape plans here are less... explosive."
Emma looked at Kaizen with a exciting eyes,
"I will always stay with you! Who else is going to protect you, huh? A bunch of fluffy bunnies?"
"If they want me in the guild, they're dragging you along too, whether you like it or not!"
He nearly spit out his drink, "Join a guild? Me? No way! I'm more of a 'stay at home and chill' kind of guy, okay?"
Emma looked at Kaizen with a teasing smile.
"Why are you so scared of fighting? You've got me! I can always have your back, you know."
"Who do you think you are, my personal superhero? Don't waste the big chance you have. Go join the guild and be the strongest! I'll be your biggest fan from a safe distance, cheering and avoiding all the battles!"
Emma laughed, shaking her head. "Alright, alright. But don't blame me if I end up with all the glory while you miss out on the fun!"

"There you go, Kaizen! Not too shabby, right? Ready to leap into action! What do you think?"
He shook his head, thinking to himself, "How can I be friends with this girl when her intelligence is below average? But with her strength, I think she'll find her own way."
Despite his thoughts, Kaizen admired Emma's determination. He saw how she faced every challenge bravely, making up for her lack of cleverness.
"You know, Emma, sometimes being strong and brave is as important as being smart. I respect how you handle things."
"Thanks, Kaizen! We all have our strengths. You're the brains, and I'm the brawn! Together, we make a good team."
"It's already night," Kaizen said. "You should go back home, or your family will worry."
She looked up at the darkening sky, realizing how late it had become. She nodded in agreement, feeling the chill of the evening air.
"You're right, Kaizen. Thanks for looking out for me. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
"Sure, take care! And let me know when you get home safely."
Emma paused at the door, turning slightly to look at Kaizen. "You sure you don't wanna join me?" she asked, her voice hopeful but already knowing his answer.
He shook his head gently, understanding her mixed emotions. "I'm sure. But hey, we'll catch up tomorrow, right?"
Emma tried to smile, hiding her disappointment.
"Alright, see you tomorrow then." Her face was a blend of sadness and a brave smile, highlighting her unique spirit.
As Emma left, Kaizen watched her go, feeling a tug at his heart. He knew she wanted his company, and though he couldn't join her now

"My power is so bullshit! I make amazing things, but people can only use them once.
How can I sell them like this?"
He thought about his future and sighed,
"Maybe I should just pass the academy and work as a receptionist at the guild. It's a stable job and less stressful."
The next morning at school, as usual, Kaizen was sleeping deeply.
The school announced that a new prodigy, Emma, had been recruited by the number one guild.
Looks like I won't see her anymore. But hey, your dream came true. Good luck, Emma."
After three years of school,
Kaizen finally graduated. As he was leaving, Just as he thought life would become ordinary,
a fancy car stopped in front of him.
He looked closely and realized it was Emma, the talented star who had left for a top guild three years ago.
Kaizen leaned on the car window, grinning.
Hey, Emma, rank S number 7. What brings you here? Did you come to see me?"
her eyes full of playfulness. "I'm here to pick up an old friend. Jump in."
Curious about why she was really there, Kaizen got into the car. He knew Emma too well; there had to be a bigger reason for her visit.
"So, what's the deal?" he asked directly. "You wouldn't visit without a purpose."
Emma faced him, suddenly serious. "I want to start my own guild. My contract is ending, and I want you to be my vice leader."
Kaizen looked at Emma, seriously . "Emma, you know starting a guild is tough. Why should I be the vice leader?"
her voice a little shaky. "I trust you more than anyone. Even my own guild started betraying me. I got cursed by a divine item, and it sealed my power. Now, I'm useless to them."
Kaizen shook his head in disbelief. "Wow, they threw you out like that? No worries, I can lift that curse for you. Just ask me for help, okay? Remember, I'll always be your brain."
Her eyes pleading. "I know you can heal me, but it's not just that. I want revenge on them.
Please, Kaizen." She tried to show her cute side.
Kaizen laughed gently. "My cat is cuter than you. But you know I don't like fighting. If you promise not to make me fight, I'll help you."
She smiled, understanding the deal.
He gently placed a hand on Emma's shoulder. "It must have been tough for you, being alone all these three years. I'm sorry for being selfish, Emma."
His voice softened as he continued, "I promise, from now on, I'll always be there for you."
Her face break up , and tears welled up in her eyes. Despite her bravery, she looked like a child before Kaizen, vulnerable and seeking comfort.
As Emma's tears flowed, He tried to lighten the mood with a playful grin. "Oh, stop crying already! Your face is starting to look like a capybara's. It's making me sick!"
Emma couldn't help but laugh, though a hint of irritation colored her cheeks. "You're still the same old Kaizen—always joking around!" she exclaimed, wiping her tears. "For that comment, how about we hit the dungeon right now?" She flashed a mischievous smile.
Kaizen's eyes widened in playful horror. "Noooo—" he groaned, feigning distress.
He shook his head, pretending to be frustrated . "Still so eager for adventure, huh? You're incorrigible," he teased, ruffling her hair gently.
her smile softening. "Well, someone has to keep you on your toes, right?" she retorted, brushing her hair back into place. The lightness in her voice masked the struggles she'd faced, but her heart felt lighter now.
Kaizen, sensing the change, rested his arm around her shoulders. "We'll go foward whatever comes next, together," he assured her, his voice sincere. "No more facing this world alone."
Emma glanced at him, her eyes filled with gratitude and resolve. "Together," she nodding.
