Trapped

The basement was now completely dark. The only light source was the flashlight in Orlich's hand, but it was growing dim. Everyone froze for a moment. Then Richard rushed forward and tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.

"Damn it, they've locked the door!" he said angrily.

Fred took a deep breath, trying not to panic. Sheila was leaning against the wall, her eyes wide with fear.

"We have to find a way out of here," Ethan said calmly.

Orlich pointed the flashlight into the depths of the basement. He saw something they hadn't noticed before—a small door beside an old wardrobe.

"Look! There might be another exit!" he shouted.

Everyone rushed to the door. Richard tried to push it open first, but it wouldn't budge. Victoria bent down and carefully examined the floor.

"This… this looks like it's been used recently."

Hearing this, everyone froze.

"By who?" Emma asked softly.

Ethan climbed on top of the wardrobe and began knocking on the wall.

"There must be a hidden mechanism here."

Suddenly, Fred began flipping through the old notebook. He noticed some lines drawn with a pencil on one of the pages. After examining it for a moment, he suddenly shouted:

"There's a hidden keyhole here! Behind the wardrobe!"

Everyone reacted instinctively and pushed the wardrobe aside. It was heavy, but together they moved it. And… there really was a keyhole.

Orlich felt around the spot where the key should be, and suddenly they heard a click. The door slowly began to open.
