RETURN HOME

After the events in the dark basement, Emma, Rima,Richard, Orlich,Ethan,Sheila, and Victoria were forced to hide for several days. They had no idea whether the Sentinel organization was still tracking them, so they acted cautiously.

But no matter how much they tried to run, they knew they had to return to their normal lives eventually.

When Emma finally returned home, she felt a strange emptiness inside. Everything looked the same as before, but she knew nothing would ever be the same again.

She walked into the kitchen. The table was still neat. The place where her mother's flower vase always sat hadn't changed. But her mother was gone.

"Everything is over, but nothing is really over..." Emma thought to herself.

Her phone buzzed with a message. It was from Richard.

Richard: Are we going to school? Today's the last bell...

Emma hesitated for a moment. After the weight of the past few days, she didn't want to go to school. But at the same time, this would be the last day they would all spend together there.

She took a deep breath and replied:

Emma: Let's go.
