Chapter 87: Unveiling New Powers and Unexpected Visitors

Ryo stood before the system screen as a new notification appeared. The system had announced that new abilities had been unlocked. Curious, he quickly checked the details. As he scanned through the information, he realized that the new ability was directly linked to Nova's training. The ability allowed Ryo to share abilities from other races with Nova, something that had never been possible before.

Excited to test it out, Ryo decided to start with vampiric abilities. He activated the sharing function and told Nova to try using them. Almost instantly, Nova's infant base silver dragon form changed. His scales turned into a deep crimson, as if they were coated in blood. The transformation made him resemble a being covered in blood-scale armor. Intrigued by the change, Ryo instructed Nova to use a vampire's unique skill—Blood Puppetry.

As Nova activated the ability, something unexpected happened. Ryo watched in astonishment as Nova manipulated the monsters around him using their own blood. It was not a simple control technique but a complete domination over their actions. Ryo had shared vampiric abilities with Nova, but he had no idea they could be used in this way. This discovery further proved how extraordinary Nova was.

Wanting to test more, Ryo then commanded Nova to enter his elemental shadow form. However, before he could even give an order, Nova had already activated the transformation on his own. The system immediately announced that new elements had been unlocked for Nova to morph into. His new form resembled the shadow dragon Ryo had once defeated in the advanced training mode's seventh phase.

In this form, Nova could use Shadow Steps, allowing him to move at extreme speeds, almost as if teleporting between shadows. He also displayed mastery over black flames, a rare ability that made him even more powerful. Seeing how smoothly Nova adapted to these abilities, Ryo continued testing other shared abilities for a while. Satisfied with the results, he decided to return to the palace.

Upon arriving, a royal messenger from the Elf Kingdom was waiting for him. The messenger greeted Ryo respectfully and explained his purpose. The Elf Kingdom was planning to establish a rail route for transportation but had encountered difficulties in finding a suitable path. They sought Ryo's expertise to determine the best route for the railway.

Listening to the problem, Ryo suggested they take a route that no one frequently visited. However, the messenger pointed out a major obstacle—a mountain and a river stood in the way. Thinking for a moment, Ryo proposed a solution.

"Then we'll dig a tunnel through the mountain and build a bridge over the river," Ryo said confidently. "That way, the train can pass through without needing to change its course."

The elf messenger was impressed by Ryo's quick thinking. He agreed that the plan seemed reasonable but requested proper blueprints to ensure its feasibility. Without wasting time, Ryo went to his workspace and called upon the dwarves and elves for assistance. With their combined expertise, they worked tirelessly to draft blueprints for both the tunnel and the bridge. The dwarves provided insight on tunnel reinforcement, while the elves contributed knowledge about nature-friendly construction methods.

After hours of detailed planning, the blueprints were finally complete. Ryo handed them over to the messenger, who bowed deeply in gratitude.

"Thank you, Lord Ryo. This will greatly help our kingdom's transportation system," the messenger said before departing.

Just as Ryo was about to take a break, a guard arrived before him. It was a message informing him that someone from the Temple of the Holy Nation had arrived.

Ryo frowned slightly, wondering what business the temple could have with him. Whatever it was, he knew it would not be something simple. Taking a deep breath, he prepared himself for the next challenge that awaited him.
