The family returned to the car, and this time, the fatigue that had affected the father had faded as they neared their destination, while the mother, still adjusting her appearance, moved on to fixing her hair.
Aurelius stood in the middle of the car, between his parents, eagerly watching the road with excitement and anticipation. It wasn't until the mother finished brushing her hair and was satisfied with her look that she noticed him.
"Aurelius, darling, sit in the back and put on your seatbelt," she said.
The father burst into laughter. "Oh, come on! You're still the same as when I first met you. When it comes to beauty, you forget everything—even Aurelius!"
The mother scoffed. "That's nonsense! Of course, Aurelius is the most important thing in my life. But look at you—you've been driving for a while and never warned him about the danger of standing like that!"
"My dear," the father chuckled, "we've already arrived. Let the boy enjoy a little freedom and adventure."
"Wait, you mean we've really arrived?"
"Exactly."
The father stopped the car, got out, and announced, "Coris, our new village."
He turned to Aurelius and said, "Come on, my boy, look over there—that's our new home!"
The family stood together, their faces glowing with the same eager smile.
This village was about to change their lives in ways they hadn't yet realized.
