Chapter Five

Jack's apartment…..

Jack was busy talking to another person on the phone while checking outside to see of anyone was coming or maybe eavesdropping .

" Yes,yes sir … I will make sure …she comes ...",said Jack stuttering

"Your testing my patience Mr Jack , she better come here as soon as possible ",said Ralph on the other side.

" OK , I will make sure of it",said Jack

Then Ralph hang up.

" You say you like the girl but why are you so kinda forceful in getting her",asked Rex

"Thats how I roll they always , they always follow my rules ",said Ralph

"But that's not how wooing girls works",said Rex

" And you know how to woo a girl ", Ralph laughed sarcastically " Then your new recruit wouldn't have insulted before the job "

"That was an unlikely mistake ",said Rex

"Right ,I will try to believe that",said Ralph then there was a slight knock on the door

"Come in ",said Ralph

Arthur came in with another guy dressed in a pure black shirt with trousers through the door. His eyes were like black diamonds shimmering and held a very cold aura around him.

" Speak",said Ralph

"The girl you asked us to keep an eye on went with her friend to "Midnight falls ",bar ,should we continue following her or should we respect her privacy",said the man

"We were asked to continue following her even when she climbed into a cab , you think a bar can stop this man",murmured Arthur to himself

Sadly for Arthur Ralph heard him loud and clear.

" Your team may step down for a while I will leave this task to someone else",said Ralph to the man

The man bowed and left Arthur also started leaving when Ralph called him back

"Arthur …,you stay",said Ralph

"I will be leaving , I have got a lot if business yo handle back at the company",said Rex starting to leave

" You won't be leaving either",said Ralph

"Why is that?",asked Rex confused

"I have an important task for both of you",said Ralph

"And may I ask what it is?",said Rex

"Both of you have to follow Gwen ",said Ralph

"Wait, we have to go to midnight falls",asked Arthur

"Thats correct, make sure to never loose sight of her",said Ralph

"But , I have got business at the company",said Rex

"You rarely show up there, and when I mean rarely I mean twice a month ",said Ralph

"I don't wish to be regularly shown on media, you know that",said Rex

"Well, I am helping you by sending you in a mission ",said Ralph

"Why, can't you go on your own ?" ,asked Rex

"I don't wish to be noted as a stalker ",said Ralph

"And you want us to be seen as stalkers",said Rex

"She barely knows you two",said Ralph

"I was present when you were meeting with her that day at Empire",said Rex

"She was facing down, I doubt she even saw you",said Ralph

"Ok,you win this time.But remember it will be the last",said Rex

"Sure , sure",said Ralph

At Midnight falls bar…..

The place was wild and dim with plenty of disco lights as usual , there was a huge stench of alcohol that reeked in the place. Most of the people were on the counters ordering drinks, dancing ,talking to each other , making out in the back ground etc

"Natasha , I don't think I belong here ",said Gwen really loud while covering her ears

"Nonsense",said Natasha "this place is fabs, its a good place to forget all troubles", continued Natasha while dancing to the music

"Nope, I am leaving ",said Gwen turning around to the exit

"Nope , you are coming ",said Natasha pulling Gwen to a table at the far end of the bar and made her sit down .

"You ,wait here while I grab us a drink",said Natasha

"But, I…",said Gwen but was suddenly cut off by Natasha

"No but's dear ,just sit and listen to the music",said Natasha as she went to the counter

A while later Rex and Arthur arrived

"I had no idea that miss was a fan of bars",said Arthur

"She isn't" ,said Rex looking for a place to sit

"How do you know?",said Arthur

Rex pointed to Gwen who had her head on the table and her hands covering her ears, then Rex pulled Arthur to a table opposite to the table on which Gwen sat

"I will go get us a drink", said Arthur then he left to the counter

After a while Natasha returned with the drinks and gave one to Gwen

"Thanks",said Gwen then she stared at the drink " It isn't alcoholic right ",she continued

"Are you afraid of going berserk" ,said Natasha

"Kinda ",said Gwen

"Don't worry , I will take you home immediately. I will make sure we don't cause a scene",said Natasha

"Good",said Gwen then she darank her cocktail

When Natasha was looking around she saw Rex looking intently at Gwen ,so she assumed the worse and excused herself from Gwen

"Gwen I will be right back ",said Natasha then she headed towards Rex

' Why is that girl heading towards my direction',thought Rex

"Hey, dude why are you staring at my friend like that",said Natasha as she arrived at Rex's table

"How sure are you that I am looking at her",said Rex

"There are no fucking people on the tables between us ",said Natasha

Then Natasha grabbed Rex's collar and pulled him closer to her

"If you have….. any bad thoughts regarding her …then remember this ",Natasha went close to his ear and whispered "You won't see the next light", then she let him go and fixed his collar " Got that ",she said

as she turned around she saw Gwen missing from the table

"What, where….where is she",said Natasha looking around

"See, I didn't have any thoughts towards her",said Rex

"Now where did she go, for goodness sakes?" ,Natasha asked herself

"How should I know you kept me here",said Rex

"Bro, I am talking to my conscience not you",said Natasha

Rex sighed then stood up ,and dialled a number in his phone the call connected in a short time and he started speaking to the other guy on the phone

"Find her ",said Rex

"Should we inform Boss",said the guy at the other end

"No ,and if this leaks to him ,I will kill who ever said it",said Rex in a cold tone that could send shivers down any spine

Then he hang up

"Why are you following her , its not like she is your lifeline or something",said Natasha

"And you are pretty calm for a person who's friend disappeared out of no where",said Rex

Then Arthur arrived .

"The team outside said they saw her heading to an abandoned house with another person supporting her ",said Arthur "They assumed it was her friend." ,he continued

"What part of follow her don't this people understand",said Rex

"How many people are following her ?",asked Natasha confused

"A lot ",said Arthur

"Wait , you said she went with a stranger in the abandoned house across the street",asked Natasha just to verify

"Yes",said Arthur to Natasha " I believe we need to go help her ,what if something bad happens "

"If its Gwen ,don't be worried , she can handle herself,",said Natasha casually sitting on the chair

"What type of friend are you ,who doesn't care",said Rex

"I do care a lot, that's why I am telling you this , if you really want to help her go clean up that place I bet it is reeking with blood",said Natasha. "And I will just go clean her up and take her back home"

Then Natasha stood up and went to the exit then she went outside crossed the street and went to the abandoned house.

As soon as she got there she heard kicks and grunts and a faint smell of blood

"Dear Gwen if you only showed that strength to your uncle",said Natasha

When she climbed the stairs to the second floor ,she saw Gwen facing a half dead man with her right foot on his chest. The poor man was hanging on the last thread of his dear life hoping that the grim reaper in front him would show mercy.

"Gwen ,dear that's enough ",said Natasha in a coaxing tone while getting closer to her

"Ye...yes…listen to your friend girl…..I promi….promise no such thing will happen again ",said the poor man

"Who allowed you talk, people like you need to be mutilated and set as an example ",said Gwen in a cold tone her voice clear as daylight showing no sign of having drunk

"Is that really her",asked Arthur
