Demi-Spirit/Mech Out........
{Current Location: In the tunnel leading to 59th floor}
{Time: 9:46 AM_ Around fifteen minutes after the battle on 58th floor ended}
We were advancing rapidly through the floors. I know, right?
We just left our camp on 50th floor around 8:30 PM and after a bit more than one hour we were already on our way to 59th floor. The biggest credit for this rapid advancement goes to the direct express line we caught to bypass all the floors between 52 to 58 saving a lot of time.
After we had a quick maintenance check up on our gears and rested for around fifteen minutes, we set off to the uncharted ground of 59th floor no one has set foot on in years.

"A jungle....?"
After coming out of tunnel that was what lies in front us a humid jungle. And what most of us were surprised about was, according to info recorded in the guild by Zeus and Hera Familia this floor was suppose to have a icy tundra biome instead of humid jungles.
"It almost seems like the plant back on floor 24...."
"One and the same, looks like."
Lefiya and Bete give out their opinions, seeing how similar this floor is to 24th floor.
Suddenly some members with sharper senses, sensed something in middle of the jungle.
"Keep moving." Finn commanded, also sensing something in the jungle.

As we walk through the jungle we didn't find any monster in our way, not a single one... till we reach the middle of the jungle that is.
"What is that?" exclaimed someone.
In the middle of the jungle was a massive army of the caterpillars and plant monster with a weird looking monster which look like a mix between those caterpillars and some plants feeding on them at the center. 'Did the plants and caterpillars do some unholy things with each other for it to born?'
"That monster's been evolved by on of those orbs too, hasn't it?!"
"The parasite has attached itself to... the corpse flower, Titan Arum."
"That aren't good."
"So many magic stones....."
"It's evolved...."
"WE NEED HOLY WATER.....!" seeing everyone saying something I also let my inner voice out.
Soon that unholy monster let out a screech and its upper body start breaking like a cocoon. Its screech was so loud that every one had to cover their ears but lucky me, I had earpieces in my ears that regulates sound as my armor don't cover my pointy wolf ears.
As it screech the environment starts to get darker well purple to be exact and had weird mist covering the whole area.
"Aria!"
"A spirit...!"
Ding!
That thing, Ais and my system all call out one one after another like responding to each other's presence.

Just as the cocoon break reveling a green blue, human female like upper body my system give me a new slayer mission.
That think start shouting weird shit like some obsessed lunatic while eating more magic stones to increase her strength and the people on my side murmured their own shits in disbelief, questioning how that unholy combo of bugs and plants can be spirit?
Boom!
Suddenly ground behind us exploded and a wall of thick tough vines come out blocking the path back but that thing don't know we can just disappear in thin air when we want.
"Everyone prepare for battle! If we leave it be, it will be stronger next time." Finn commended not wanting to teleport out. That thing was eating magic stones like some thirsty camel drinking water after months. If that keeps on, it will be too strong to handle for us... well for them.
Hearing Finn's command everyone come out of their self doubt and charged at it wanting nothing more than to erase it's existence. But those monster surrounding that unholy thing stopped the charge.
"Come, come, come shells of the....." Anddddd that unholy creature also start chanting some weird shit. Don't this world have any good chant like Archer Emiya's UBW.
In response to that shit Riveria start chanting her own barrier magic while Tsubaki and Raul took out a magic weapon each (Both had a backup magic weapon un their back just in case) to disrupt its incantation along with Lefiya using magic and me rifle.
I haven't gone all out because I was curious, what a beginner level 8 is capable of. Now that I remember Crystal is a peak level 8 mage right?
(Demi-spirit of 59th floor was just a bit stronger than Balor a floor 49 boss and Balor has level 8 potential.)
As for others they were still busy at keeping the army of monsters at bay. Shades was also not using any EXP attacks to go all 100% EXP out in one go when necessary.
"Everyone, Fallback!" Finn shouted.
"Meteor Swarm!"
"Via Shilheim!"
Just everyone came back in a group that thing and Riveria finished their spells simultaneously.
The meteors which were more like football size fire balls blasted the area, blasting everything in the around us including the monster army but Riveria's barrier manage to keep us safe.
After a minute when the explosion stop we heard another chanting. That thing was chanting the whole time after releasing the meteor spell?
"Fire Storm!" this continues casting let her release another stronger spell just after last one was finished.
CRACK! CRACK!
A torrent of purple fire rushed toward us and hit the barrier which start cracking after a few seconds under the pressure of a level 8 magic.
"Gareth! Protect Ais and the others!" Riveria shouted as her barrier was about to go out, to which Gareth took on two tower shields and stand in front of others ready to tank the attack.
"Fuck it! Shades EXP attack now!" I shouted, knowing things are getting serious now.
But Shades was already in position beside Gareth knowing situation better than me after all he is a level 4 Monster Berserker, he has better instincts.
Boom!

Just as the barrier broke he released his EXP attack at 65% of total stored EXP.
But just 65% stored EXP was enough after killing so many strong monsters. His attack overpowered the fire storm and reached her which cause her to abundant the attack and cast a quick barrier.
"Everyone step back I and Shades will fight it now." I said fully believing in my partner to hold my back.
Boom!
Clink Clank.....
Before anyone could argue I launched myself toward that monster with my rocket boots busting in speed and gravity less on. Just as I was about to reach her I equipped my dragon mech for a surprise and....
BAMM....
A solid punch from something of her size with peak level 8 physical power anddd she goes flying in air.
Before she could cast another spell I reached her still in air with my powerful wings and give her a tail smash, send her toward Shades who was ready with a 20% charged attack from the remaining 35%.
EXCALIBUR....
Just in time she was able to shift her body a bit toward left saving her core, sacrificing her whole right shoulder to half of her lower caterpillar like body. Truly a cursed thing to see.
Just after stabilizing herself her body start healing at a rapid pace. 'Fuck her plant parents!'
Seeing her healing I and Shades rush toward her. Suddenly a wall of vines pop out of the ground covering her like a giant cocoon which stopped Shades who wanted to use the last remaining 15% for a sure killing blow but not meeee I release a mage level 6 strong dragon breath which was as strong as those red sniper dragon's breath burning a hole through the wall as well as setting her on fire.
EXCALIBUR....
Shades also took the opportunity jumping into the burning cocoon of vines and releasing the remaining EXP at point blank range killing her for sure this time. (wind stone in armor give heat resistance too)
Ding!
[Task complete, reward has been given.]
Ya, this conformed the kill with the reward is in my inventory. As for EXP well High EXP, it was split 50/50 between both of us. From the looks of it she was similar to boss monster plantera of this world.
As for the remaining monsters they were handled by other group member while we were taking care of that cursed thing.

Author here- Finally the Mech we get on chapter 8 is out. I never planed to let the mech out like this but have it out in some conflict with Freya. I change the plan and got this idea around chapter 27.
For those wondering why demi-spirit didn't showed much interest in our MC. That's because she wasn't familiar with his spirit aura unlike Ais's which is similar to Aria's and his presence also as a level 0 unblessed is negligible for her to spare any attention to him. Perfect of a surprise attacks like a true assassins, right?
Tell me if you have some idea for letting Crystal a peak level 8 mage set lose. Or should she remain under cover always.
I also did some research on spirits in danmachi. Just so you know Crystal is on the weaker side of scale when compared to other spirits in the lore. This make it even more fitting as she is not a god blessed spirit like others but a test-tube spirit.
