Chapter 24: The Blood Oath

The Blood Oath

The scent of blood was thick in the air.

Alexander stood in the pack house his breath ragged, his claws still stained with Kael's blood. But it wasn't enough.

It would never be enough.

The beast inside him howled, clawing at his chest, demanding what had been taken. Aria. His mate. His everything.

But she was gone.

Taken.

By him.

Alexander's hands clenched into fists, his golden eyes blazing. A snarl ripped from his throat, fury vibrating through every muscle. He had been too weak, too lost in the curse's grip to stop it. To stop Kael from taking her.

Now, she was in his hands.

Not again.

The memory of her scent, her voice calling his name, the way she had tried to reach him—it burned like fire under his skin. And he had failed her.

The beast inside him roared in rage. His claws twitched, aching for war.
