Aria adjusted the leather bracers on her wrists, inhaling deeply as she took her place among the warriors. Sweat already slicked the air, bodies moving in perfect synchronization as blades clashed and claws unsheathed.

"You're late," Elias remarked as he approached, his expression unreadable.

"Got caught up in nightmares," Aria muttered.

Elias arched a brow. "I'd say you've had plenty of those lately."

She didn't argue.
