Yennefer Berkshire

"O-Okay, we're good—"

Right as those words left Sammy's lips, an overbearing pressure pressed down on Knox, causing his knees to buckle!

"I just knew this sh*tty cliché would happen," I said through clenched teeth. "Why am I not allowed to peacefully enjoy my non-crippled body!? Why is there so much nonsense!?"

"What are you doing to my younger sister?" asked a feminine voice, colder than the ice caps. "Well? What do you have to say for yourself??"

What do I have to say for myself!?

Bish, you're the one who should explain precisely why you're exhibiting such killing intent toward the Eldest Young Master of the area you're floating in!

Wait… floating!?

This crazy chick can actually levitate in midair!

Although many questions formed in my mind concerning this magical act before me, I knew I had to speak fast. If not, it wouldn't matter whose Young Master I was—I'd lose my head without the chance to resist.

The younger and more immature Sammy had just embarked on the path of cultivation. She possessed a cultivation base of the Marrow Refinement Realm, which, although made her a genius, also meant she had yet to harness Innate Energy.

Her big sister, on the other hand—Yennefer Berkshire—was fully capable of harnessing and properly using Innate Energy.

Furthermore, she wasn't merely adept at using Innate Energy—she excelled at it!

Peak Foundation Establishment Realm.

That was her cultivation stage, and it was one that gave her the title of '3rd Prodigal Goddess' of the Water Nation—the nation that she, along with both her family and Knox's family, lived in.

"If you don't respond within the next two seconds, I'll be forced to—"

"Hold on just a moment, Toots," I said, holding my hand out like a stop sign. "As your adorable younger sister can tell you, I've done nothing but treat her with the utmost hospitality. Seeing as this forest and everything for hundreds of miles will soon belong to me, it's only natural that I take good care of any lost bunnies."

I didn't actually care about some territory or even the authority that came along with it, but she didn't need to know that.

Yennefer Berkshire raised one of her gorgeously carved eyebrows. The entrancing eyes that stood out especially so on her enchanting face scanned me from head to toe.

I knew I was eye candy in this whatever-numbered life of mine, but damn was she looking at me like a prime slab of steak.

"You're the Eldest Young Master of the Falazar Count Family?" Yennefer asked plainly. "I thought you'd be…taller."

Taller!?

You b*tch! I'm already 6'2, far above average in this world!

What do you want me to be?? A f*cking giraffe!??

You yourself are only 5'4! Are you looking to climb a tree during our smexy time!?

My face was crazily twitching after just ten seconds of being in this girl's oh-so-pleasant company.

Company that I really wished would go away and leave my home at once.

Who gave a sh*t if she was my so-called fiancée!?

Who cared if her beauty was superior to any woman I'd seen in all my lifetimes!?

Who cared if her body was smoking hot, unrivaled in both Heaven and Earth!??

Okay, okay, maybe I cared a bit… Just a bit though!

"M…Miss Yennefer," I said, trying my best to be cordial. "Is that really something appropriate for a young lady like yourself to be saying? Isn't insulting someone beneath someone of your stature?"

I hinted at her short height while talking as if I was referring to something else entirely.

Naturally, this caused her brows to deeply furrow.

She was irritated—that was for certain.

But what would that do!?

This was my home, you rude Jade Beauty!

Even with all your strength, there were dozens stronger in these very family grounds!

Hell, my Father dearest could think you out of existence if he so wished to!

I had to say, it felt damn good to finally be able to take advantage of a high social status in one of these damn crippled lives of mine.

Now then, what's your next move, Fiancée o' Mine?

"You're right, Mister Knox Falazar," Yennefer said as shadows covered her eyes. "It is indeed beneath someone of my stature. To be speaking to a former cripple like yourself is something I shouldn't be doing. How high is your cultivation again? Oh… I guess that was inconsiderate of me to ask."

This little…

As I felt my anger visibly increase, I kept my composure and said, "Well, if that's all, I'll be taking my leave now."

"Wait," Yennefer subtly commanded, making use of her Innate Energy to compel Knox into doing what she wanted. "My sister still hasn't told her part of the story. Even if you are the Eldest Young Master of the Falazar Count Family, that doesn't excuse you from mistreating an heir of the Berkshire Count Family."

"Come now," she said to Sammy. "Tell your big sister if you have been mistreated by this esteemed gentleman over here. And don't worry, you can be frank with me."

Sammy looked between Yennefer and Knox with watery eyes.

What was at first a misunderstanding had snowballed into this troubling predicament she was thrown into the middle of.

"B-Big Sister," she softly murmured. "H…He didn't do anything to me that wasn't deserved. I'm already over it…"

Unbeknownst to the innocent angel, her words created rolling storms in the hearts of both Knox and Yennefer.

"You sick bastard," Yennefer said furiously. "Do you think that just because this is your territory, you can do whatever you want to your visitors?? What scum!"

I eyed the 'innocent' angel, wondering which Deity I had angered enough to send me this Devil-tongued girl!

However, seeing how the older sister of this angel was staring daggers into the dredges of my soul, I fixated on her instead.

"This isn't what it seems," I said. "Your sister's wording is just screwed way the hell up! I really didn't do anything inappropriate to her!"

Wait, that didn't sound any better—
