"I advise you not to meddle in this. It's my business with this stall owner," Brother Niu said to the students.
Although he wasn't afraid to take action against Jaxon, he knew that if he actually hurt too many students from Goldenleaf University, the consequences would be far more severe—and that was something he didn't want to face.
However, the students were all in their prime, full of passion and courage. They weren't easily intimidated, especially with so many fellow Goldenleaf University students present, which gave them even more confidence. They couldn't stand by and watch their teacher being bullied.
"This is none of your concern," Jaxon said at this moment. "I can handle it myself."
Jaxon also didn't want to see the students get hurt, and he certainly didn't want them to suffer because of him. Moreover, he was confident that he could resolve the situation on his own.
Jaxon's intervention brought a sigh of relief to Brother Niu, but it also surprised him. If those students had actually intervened, he wasn't sure if he would have dared to continue. Even if he did, with so many students around and only a few of his own men, he might not have had the upper hand.
"This guy must be crazy. Does he really think he can take on all of us by himself?" Brother Niu looked at Jaxon with a gaze reserved for fools and idiots, thinking that Jaxon must have a problem with his mind to say something like that.
"Kid, hurry up and pay up. Stop wasting time," Brother Niu said, not daring to prolong the standoff any further. He was afraid that the students might not be able to hold back and attack.
"No," Jaxon shook his head.
"Then don't blame us for being rude," Brother Niu said. "Guys, let's flip his stall!"
"Let's see who dares!" Jaxon stopped Liu Yidao, who was about to stand up for him, and took a step forward. The indifferent expression on his face disappeared, replaced by a stern look and an aura of menace!
Jaxon had killed before! Although it wasn't in this world, they were still real people! His presence naturally exuded an unusual aura, and these young men, who hadn't seen much of the world, were actually intimidated by just one sentence from him.
Brother Niu, who had recovered from the shock, felt humiliated. His face turned red with embarrassment. There were many people watching around them, and he had been scared by just one sentence from Jaxon. How could he continue to make a living like this?
"What are you all standing there for? Go and flip his stall!" Brother Niu shouted.
Brother Niu's roar brought his followers back to their senses. Filled with shame and anger, they all wished they could pin Jaxon to the ground and punch him eighty times to save face.
The young men no longer hesitated and approached Jaxon's stall with fierce expressions. Some were ready to overturn his tables and chairs, some were about to push his barbecue grill, and some even intended to attack Jaxon himself.
Jaxon calmly threw a punch at the first person who came at him. Before the man could react, he was knocked to the ground. Jaxon's strength was far beyond that of an ordinary person. He had held back on that punch; otherwise, he might have really smashed the man's head!
Even so, it was terrifying enough. With just one punch, he had knocked someone unconscious. How powerful was that? The Goldenleaf University students who had been about to help stopped in their tracks. Some stared in shock, while others took out their phones to record videos and take photos.
After knocking out one person with a punch, Jaxon didn't stop. He rushed towards another person who had already kicked over one of his tables and was looking for the next target. Suddenly, the man felt a sharp pain in his buttocks, and a tremendous force sent him flying. He landed heavily on the ground several meters away, knocking out a few of his teeth.
"Die!" Another young man raised a stool, preparing to sneak up on Jaxon from behind.
As if he had eyes in the back of his head, Jaxon sidestepped and then swung his right leg, delivering a powerful sidekick to the man's abdomen. The intense pain caused the man to curl up like a shrimp, his face turning bright red, and his eyes bulging out.
"Ah!"
A scream of agony came from his mouth. His body fell uncontrollably backward, staggering and retreating several steps before collapsing to the ground. He then clutched his stomach, letting out a pig-like scream that made everyone's hair stand on end and sent chills down their spines.
The remaining men were unable to escape Jaxon's attacks, each ending up worse than the last, with their screams echoing one after another.
"Now it's just you left. What do you think should be done?" Jaxon stood in front of Brother Niu and said indifferently.
Brother Niu stared blankly at Jaxon, unable to accept what he had just witnessed. How could so many of his men be defeated by Jaxon in just a few moves? Jaxon looked so thin, yet he had such incredible strength. And not only that, but his speed was also astonishing.
Was he even human?
Why was he so strong?
"Smack!" Jaxon casually slapped Brother Niu's face, leaving several bright red finger marks. "I'm asking you a question. Are you mute?"
"I'm... I'm sorry," Jaxon's slap not only hurt but also woke Brother Niu up. With so many of his men defeated, he knew he was no match for Jaxon, especially now that he was alone. He wasn't some legendary martial artist like Ximen Chui-snow.
"Finished?" Jaxon said indifferently.
"H... high... skilled... sir... what... what do you want... me to do?" Under Jaxon's gaze, Brother Niu was so nervous that he could barely speak coherently.
"Clean up everything here. Compensate for any damage, including the cost of the barbecue you ate earlier," Jaxon said. "And..."
As he spoke, Jaxon leaned closer to Brother Niu and lowered his voice. "And I hope those who caused me trouble get their just deserts."
With that, Jaxon glanced sideways at the barbecue stall owners who had already retreated in fear.
"I... I understand," Brother Niu wasn't very good at fighting, but he was quick to grasp Jaxon's meaning.
"What do you understand? I didn't say anything!" Jaxon straightened up and said to Brother Niu, "Pay up and get out!"
"Yes, yes," Brother Niu nodded repeatedly. "You guys, get up and clean this place up. If you don't tidy up everything, I'll deal with you!"
While handing money to Jaxon, Brother Niu shouted at the men he had brought.
Faced with Jaxon, he lacked the courage to speak, but when it came to his own men, he was full of confidence.
Brother Niu had realized that he had kicked a hornet's nest this time, and he accepted his loss. However, he definitely intended to find someone to cover his losses and make sure certain people got their "just deserts."
