Chapter 2: Memories of You
Ashaas's eyes fluttered open, and she was met with the warm glow of the morning sun. She stretched her arms, feeling the softness of her bed beneath her. As she sat up, her mind began to wander to Neel.
She couldn't help but think about the way he smiled at her, the way his eyes crinkled at the corners, and the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. Ashaas's heart skipped a beat as she remembered the way he held her hand, the way his fingers intertwined with hers.
As she swung her legs over the side of the bed, Ashaas's feet dangled in the air. She felt a sense of emptiness, a sense of longing. She wished Neel was there with her, holding her close and whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
Ashaas sighed, feeling a pang of sadness. She knew she couldn't spend the rest of her life daydreaming about Neel. She had to focus on her studies, her friends, and her family. But it was hard to concentrate when all she could think about was him.
As she got out of bed, Ashaas's eyes landed on a photo of her and Neel on her bedside table. They were smiling at the camera, their arms wrapped around each other. Ashaas's heart swelled with emotion as she picked up the photo, her fingers tracing the outline of Neel's face.
"Maybe I will lose you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
But as she looked at the photo, Ashaas knew that she couldn't lose Neel. Not now, not ever. He was a part of her, a part of her heart and soul. And she knew that she would do anything to keep him by her side.
As she put the photo back on her bedside table, Ashaas felt a sense of determination wash over her. She would fight for her love, fight for Neel. And she would never let him go.
She got dressed quickly, her mind racing with thoughts of Neel. She couldn't wait to see him, to talk to him, to hold him close.
As she made her way downstairs, Ashaas's mother greeted her with a warm smile. "Good morning, beta," she said. "How are you today?"
Ashaas smiled, feeling a sense of happiness wash over her. "I'm good, Mummy," she said. "I was just thinking about Neel."
Her mother's expression turned serious. "Ashaas, you know that Neel is a great boy, but you have to focus on your studies too. You can't let your love for him distract you from your goals."
Ashaas nodded, feeling a sense of understanding. She knew that her mother was right. She had to focus on her studies, but she couldn't help the way she felt about Neel.
"I'll try, Mummy," she said. "I promise."
Her mother smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "I know you will, beta," she said. "You're a smart girl, and you can achieve anything you set your mind to."
Ashaas smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her mother. She knew that she could always count on her mother's support and guidance.
As she finished her breakfast, Ashaas's phone buzzed with a text from Neel. "Good morning, beautiful," he wrote. "I miss you."
Ashaas's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She couldn't wait to see Neel, to hold him close and tell him how much she loved him.
"I miss you too," she replied, her fingers flying across the keyboard.
As she waited for Neel's response, Ashaas felt a sense of excitement wash over her. She knew that today was going to be a great day, a day filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
And as she walked out of the house, Ashaas knew that she was ready for whatever the day had in store for her. She was ready to face any challenge, as long as Neel was by her side.
