Waking up to the sunlight baking his head, Wolf opened his eyes to the sight of Renee dressing herself at the foot of the bed. His eyes wandered down her frame, her skin still marked by the trail of his sharp nails, he admired her for a while. Feeling the burn on his back as well, he knew his skin near the spine would be no different, but that thought didn't linger for long as she bent forward to pick up her panties.
Cast in warm sunlight, the sight of her rosy petals excited him slightly, but after making love to her all night, he knew she needed rest, for already her legs were quivering as she stood. Watching closely as she glided her panties up her legs, Wolf sat upright and leaned his back against the wall.
The window just beside his face, cast a shadow in front of Renee. Noticing that she quickly fitted her panties snugly before turning around to face him.
"Hey~" She whispered, a genuine smile riding on her lips.
Taking a deep breath, she glanced over to his boner pitching a tent inside the blanket. Covering her mouth with her hand and chuckling at the sight Glancing right back up into his eyes she blew him a good morning kiss.
"Save some for later, you rooster~" Laughing it off along with Wolf, she began dressing herself again, and before long Wolf joined her in the same.
As they were both done, he wrapped his hands around her. Surprised by the sudden hug, she jumped for a moment but then looked back at him from over her shoulder, she smiled back and leaned into his touch. Letting her weight rest entirely on him, she danced along with his rhythm and their bodies swaying side by side.
"I don't wanna leave you again," Wolf whispered next to her ears with a gentle kiss on the side of her face.
"Quit lying, I know you've been after the queen since day one," masking her laugh behind closed lips, she continued with their dance for a while longer.
Wrapped in each other's warmth, the two relished the quiet moment, that is until the guild grew less than quiet. The chatter of adventurers split them apart, but it also reminded Renee of something that she'd wanted to give to her lover for the longest time.
"Say?" Turning around with her hand still gripping his, she puffed her chest with pride. "Do you have time or is there something that you wanna do back at the castle right now?"
Wolf's eyes squinted with curiosity and after just a moment's thought, he made a note to ask for the help of William's maid later in the day.
"Sure, I can spare a few hours," right as he uttered those words, Renee began to lead him outwards.
Full of joy for once, she was smiling all the way down the steps, feeling excited at the thought of finally giving him the gift she'd been keeping hidden for a year. Her joys, however, came to an abrupt end for as soon as she landed on the main hall, her party members Terra and Kein stepped in front of her.
"What took you so long?" With a look of frustration nailed to his face, Kein folded his arms and glared at Renee. The way he'd stopped her alone was enough indication of trouble and what Terra said next just confirmed that suspicion.
"We accepted the Salamander extermination request, you need to get ready to leave with us quickly," instantly donning a frown, Renee glanced between the two. The word 'confused', couldn't express just how baffled she was.
"Have you gone mad?" She blurted, but instead of backing off, Kein stepped even closer.
His lips parted to speak as he approached her, but with a firm hand planted on his chest by Wolf, stopped him before he could take another step.
"Why don't you keep your distance, eh?" Said the prince, nodding at the loose-fitted warrior.
Although Kein took a step back, his teeth gritted shut in anger. At this point, it was obvious that the ordeal was more than just about a salamander hunt.
"She's part of our group now, how about you back off instead?" Complained the blonde, his fingers twitching to reach for his blade. Realizing his intent, however, both Terra and Renee knew they had to step in before their men pulled themselves into a brawl.
"Just give me an hour or two, I have to show Wolf something and then I'll join you two," Renee said while placing a hand on Wolf's shoulder and pulling him back.
His eyes locked on the warrior, Wolf didn't wanna flinch but seeing Terra pulling Kein away, he decided to calm down and see what was truly going on.
"Not happening, if we wanna return home before nightfall we need to leave for their cave right now!" Kein announced, his voice still sharp with anger.
"Well then I'm coming too," to his surprise and the surprise of the other two, Wolf offered his help–not because he wanted to help the loud-mouthed warrior, but because he didn't trust Renee to be alone with Kein or his girlfriend.
"Oh no, we're not doing this," Shaking her head, Renee turned Wolf around to look at her. Holding him with a stern look, she squeezed his arms and continued. "You should get back to the castle, I'll bring your gift there by tomorrow."
"Hear that, princess?" Interjecting himself into the conversation, Kein smirked like a cocky child. "Go home, she'll be back tomorrow to play with you again."
Cackling behind sealed lips, he tried to mock them both–but with a frown crossing Renee's forehead, he knew that he'd crossed a line. Glaring sharply at him from the edge of her eyes, Renee wanted to claw his snarky face, instead, she turned her attention back to Wolf and said.
"Fine, you're coming with me for the salamander hunt." As soon as those words left her lips, the smirk on Kein disappeared, and a disgruntled clicking of the tongue could be heard coming from his girlfriend.
'You had to mess this up, didn't you?!' Bumping her elbow to her boyfriend's sides, Terra wanted to scream into his ears, but the look in her eyes was enough to let him know what was simmering in her mind. 'Try to learn to keep your mouth shut sometimes!'
'Oh shut it! We'll just have to get them both somehow…' Exchanging those words without speaking at all, the couple decided to get ready to lure the prince and his secret lover into their devious plans. However, neither the prince nor his lover were entirely oblivious to their ploys, but what exactly were they planning? They had no clue, but had to find out.
