Looking at Historia and Ymir, who had sat down with their plates, Haruto raised an eyebrow.
"Aren't you two afraid?"
Historia tilted her head in confusion, while Ymir scoffed.
"Afraid of you? Who do you think you are?"
Haruto shook his head with a chuckle.
He had assumed that after exposing their secrets and displaying his inhuman strength, they would at least keep their distance from such an unpredictable factor.
Yet…
"Because Haruto is our comrade, so of course, we wouldn't be afraid!"
Historia belatedly explained.
Ymir nodded but then glared at Haruto with a warning look.
"That being said, Historia, this guy is definitely not a good person. Don't fall for him."
Historia's face turned red, and she snapped, "Ymir, stop talking nonsense!"
Watching the two bicker, Haruto couldn't help but smile. Being able to experience such a slice of life in the world of Titans was truly rare.
Haruto sighed with emotion.
It was precisely for the sake of a world where people could enjoy such harmonious daily life that he wanted to establish the SCP Foundation.
"Hey, gloomy guy, stop smiling like that. It's creepy."
Although his smile was warm and pleasant, Ymir remained stubborn.
Truly worthy of the Jaw Titan.
"You know about our pasts. I don't know how, but we know nothing about you."
Ymir's words made Historia nod in agreement.
Even the kind-hearted Historia couldn't help but be extremely curious about Haruto's mystery.
Haruto pondered for a moment before nodding.
"Alright, I'll tell you."
Hearing this, Ymir was a little surprised.
This guy… actually agreed without hesitation?
Historia, on the other hand, was full of anticipation.
"Actually, I'm not from Shiganshina District. I come from beyond the sky, from another world."
Historia & Ymir: ???
The two of them stared at him, dumbfounded.
"If you don't want to talk, just say so. Don't spout nonsense!" Ymir complained.
Historia also lowered her head in disappointment but Haruto shook his head.
"Listen first, then judge whether it's true or not."
Ymir rolled her eyes but stayed silent.
"In my world, everyone is relatively equal. We begin our education as children, then enter a standardized school system to learn knowledge... Elementary school, middle school, high school, then either university or employment—everyone chooses their own path based on their interests and talents."
"We forge iron vehicles faster than horses, and we have enormous metal birds that allow humans to soar freely in the sky."
Haruto began describing the world of Earth.
Of course, he omitted some of the political corruption and the evils of capitalism. No world was truly equal, only relatively so.
At first, Ymir wasn't very interested.
But as Haruto continued speaking, she gradually became immersed in this beautiful, foreign world.
Historia lifted her head again, her eyes glowing with curiosity.
To them, every little detail Haruto's described was fascinating and wonderful.
So wonderful that it felt unreal.
In Paradis Island, people constantly lived in fear of Titans, under the oppression of the royal government, and the exploitation of the Military Police.
"Does Haruto's world have walls?" Historia asked curiously.
He shook his head.
"There are no Titans, so naturally, there are no walls. There's simply no need for them."
"Wow!" Historia gasped in amazement.
As the two of them were deeply engrossed, Haruto suddenly stopped.
Historia, confused, followed his gaze and looked around. She saw that most of the people in the mess hall were staring at them. Eighty percent of the 104th Training Corps was watching their table.
Haruto had been speaking in a low voice at a corner table, so others couldn't hear him.
But…
Seeing them chatting so happily was shocking.
After all, Historia was beloved by everyone. But Ymir? That girl was notoriously difficult.
She always kept a strict guard over Historia, snapping at any boy who spoke too much with her.
Yet now…
The male trainees were filled with frustration.
Damn it! Why is that guy able to chat so freely with Historia?
Ymir, what are you doing?! Roast him! Don't be biased!
Feeling everyone's eyes on her, Historia's cheeks turned slightly red. Ymir scoffed, about to use her sharp tongue to drive them all away, when—
A whistle sounded outside.
It was time to return to the dorms and rest.
Ymir glared at everyone in frustration.
She hadn't heard nearly enough yet!
Historia also looked disappointed.
For them, the world Haruto described was so beautiful. Just getting a glimpse of it made them yearn for more.
Haruto chuckled, standing up and patting both their heads.
"Don't worry, the future is long, and we have plenty of time. I'll tell you more later."
Historia nodded happily.
Ymir also instinctively nodded.
Then, she realized something was wrong.
She actually got her head patted.
She hurriedly slapped away Haruto's hand, looking as if she was about to bite him. Meanwhile, Historia got her head patted too, but more calmly taking it than Ymir.
But their was a noticeable blush on her cheeks.
This scene left everyone else utterly speechless. He actually patted that Ymir's head.
And their angel too?!
"Armin, am I seeing things? Did Haruto actually pat Ymir's head… and he's still alive!?"
Eren exclaimed in shock.
Armin also widened his eyes, looking incredulous.
Mikasa stared at Haruto, deep in thought.
Her fingers subconsciously tightened around the vial hidden inside her clothes.
"How could this be!?"
Reiner was in tears.
That was Historia, and she was stolen right before his eyes.
Sitting at the same table, Bertolt looked at the weeping Reiner and mentally typed out a huge question mark.
Was his teammate… really okay?

Time passed quickly after that.
Haruto was still the same as before, slacking off during training.
The only exception was during ODM gear training, where he put in some effort.
Not because he wanted to enhance his combat power with ODM gear, he just found it interesting.
Moving swiftly through the air—it was fun, after all.
The only difference from before was that now, two girls often hung around him, with Mikasa occasionally showing up as well.
