Chapter 151: The God’s Eye Project – End Goal?

"You're awake, Traveler!"

At the sound of the call, the little witch opened her eyes.

A strange environment unfolded before her, making her feel a bit lost.

What she saw was a golden beach, with waves rolling onto the shore in rhythmic tides. In the distance, the sea and sky met in a seamless blue, dotted with a few white clouds.

The little witch widened her eyes, taking in the sight of the waves, the beach, and the occasional seagull flying by.

Having lived in an orphanage all her life, this scene was unfamiliar and fascinating to her—beautiful and vast.

"Is this the ocean? I've read about it in books!"

She spoke excitedly, wanting to share her joy with someone.

But when she turned around, she found an adorable floating creature before her.

A small, white-haired girl with short legs, wearing a golden crown on her head and a deep blue cape on her back, a miniature version of a girl.

White hair, a diaper, remember my name—Paimon!

Seeing the floating creature surrounded by tiny, star-like diamond-shaped lights, the little witch was shocked.

It seemed like this was the one who had called out to her.

"Um… Are you a fairy?"

The little witch asked curiously.

"I'm Paimon! As for fairies, Paimon doesn't know about that!"

Paimon replied.

The little witch became even more curious and confused.

"Then… Paimon, where is this place? Why am I here?"

Hearing this, Paimon proudly patted her chest.

"Paimon fished you out of the water! This is the continent of Teyvat. As for how you got here and why you were in the water, Paimon doesn't know."

Hearing that, the little witch immediately hugged Paimon.

"Thank you, Paimon!"

In her understanding, everyone was kind and honest, so she had no reason to doubt Paimon's words.

Since Paimon said she saved her, then she must have saved her.

And the only way the little witch knew to express gratitude was through hugs and words of thanks.

Being hugged tightly, Paimon scratched her head in embarrassment.

"Paimon, you called me 'Traveler' at first. What does that mean?"

After letting go, the little witch continued asking curiously.

Paimon floated and wagged her finger.

"In Teyvat, many beings cross the barriers between worlds. They come in different shapes and wear strange clothes, making them look different from the people of Teyvat. But someone like you, cute and able to communicate, is called a 'Traveler.' It means a wanderer from another world."

Hearing that, the little witch's mouth fell open in shock.

Did she actually cross worlds?

Uh… What is a world? And what does crossing it mean?

The little witch began asking about worlds and dimensional travel.

Meanwhile, this entire scene was being broadcast live through hidden drones in the sky and concealed cameras on the beach.

Inside a monitoring room, numerous Foundation personnel were closely observing the footage and analyzing a massive amount of data.

Haruto and Nao sat side by side in the back.

"Are you sure about this script? What if she actually breaks the world barrier?"

Nao asked with concern.

Haruto shook his head.

"There's nothing to worry about."

Nao was stunned. "You mean the little witch (SCP-239) isn't powerful enough to affect the world barrier?"

From what she knew, the little witch was an extremely strong reality bender.

But exactly how strong, she lacked the data to say.

To her surprise, Haruto had a completely indifferent attitude.

"No, the little witch's reality-warping abilities are incredibly powerful, with no known upper limit in this world. She can definitely affect the world barrier. The reason I said not to worry is because this world's barrier has already been shattered into pieces, it's beyond repair."

Nao's mouth twitched.

But thinking about it, she had to agree.

Every now and then, an anomaly from another world popped up in this world. There were even two people who possessed Coordinate Power.

With all that happening, it would be strange if the world barrier was still intact.

Then, something occurred to her.

She turned to Haruto, asking in surprise:

"So, the true purpose of the God's Eye Project is actually about the world barrier? The Foundation wants to use the little witch's (SCP-239) power to try and repair it?"

Haruto raised an eyebrow in mild surprise before reaching out to ruffle her white hair approvingly.

"Yes. That is the ultimate goal of the God's Eye Project."

Within the Foundation, information about the project was only accessible to personnel with Level 3 security clearance or higher.

On the surface, the project aimed to use the little witch's (SCP-239) abilities to create special magical organs called 'God's Eyes.'

These organs would enhance the Foundation's supernatural capabilities and help form a new kind of Mobile Task Force.

However, there was another version of the project, known only to the O5 Council and a select few with Level 4 clearance.

This version revealed the Foundation's real objective.

They planned to educate the little witch (SCP-239) about the world barrier's damage and gradually guide her on a journey.

At the journey's end, the final goal was to repair the world barrier and save the world.

They intended to use the little witch's (SCP-239) reality-bending powers to truly fix the world barrier.

The 'God's Eyes' were merely a byproduct.

"Director! The internal data of the entity 'Paimon' has changed!"

A staff member reported at that moment.

Haruto stood up and walked over to the data monitoring screen.

Of course, the 'Paimon' here wasn't the real Paimon.

Where would Haruto even find a supposed 'Heavenly Principles Time Demon God'?

The 'Paimon' the little witch encountered was actually a semi-mechanical biological entity developed by the Foundation.

Its intelligence came from the Foundation's latest AI, with several personnel monitoring it in real time and manually correcting any abnormal behavior. Its ability to fly wasn't magic, it was simply using flight engines. The sparkling dust around it was just aesthetic fuel residue.

'Paimon' was designed to be a cute, kind, and caring intelligent being to guide the little witch on her Teyvat journey.

At the same time, it served as a monitoring tool to collect data on the little witch's abilities.

Inside 'Paimon,' there was a certain amount of psychic-resistant alloy to prevent it from being completely altered by the little witch's powers, ensuring it could complete its mission.

Now, 'Paimon's' internal data had changed.

Most noticeably, its flight engine.

The Ark Reactor and anti-gravity engines had been massively altered.

They had transformed into a mystical-looking organ while still providing energy and flight functions.

Additionally, 'Paimon's' AI program was evolving rapidly, developing emotional simulation code and beginning to run it.

The Foundation recorded all this data as valuable research material.

At the same time, the introductory sequence was nearing its key moment.

"How are the 'Mondstadt' personnel? Are there any issues? We're about to proceed with the project's next phase."

Haruto asked another Foundation staff member.

"Everything is in place, no issues detected. The agents stationed in 'Mondstadt' have undergone Level A memory modifications and now fully believe they are native inhabitants."

The staff member replied.

Haruto nodded, then turned to Nao Tomori.

"Nao, get ready for the first act."

Nao nodded and left to make preparations.

Meanwhile, in the experimental zone—

"Traveler, I don't know how to return you to your world, but there are gods in Teyvat…"

"The seven nations each have their own guardian deity. These gods possess knowledge and power beyond the reach of ordinary people. Perhaps they might know something about your situation."

Paimon pointed towards the distant forest beyond the beach.

"If you go through there, you'll reach the first nation—the land of the Wind God: Mondstadt!"

Upon hearing this, the little witch nodded and followed Paimon towards the small forest.

The forest wasn't very dense. Even though she was young, the undergrowth didn't hinder her steps. On the way, she spotted a golden treasure chest behind a pile of stones and immediately ran over.

"Wow, a treasure chest! Many treasures are scattered across the continent of Teyvat, waiting for a fated person to open them. It looks like Traveler, you're one of those fated ones!"

Paimon exclaimed excitedly, stomping her feet in midair.

The little witch happily approached and opened the treasure chest.

Inside, she found some Mora coins and a silver-white, bladeless sword.

She lifted the sword and swung it twice in the air, much like a child excitedly playing with a new toy.

As for Primogems… What Primogems?

Holding the bladeless sword, the little witch continued walking forward.

Just as she was about to leave the forest, a deep-blue, round creature suddenly jumped out from among the trees.

The little witch held her bladeless sword and curiously examined the creature before her.

"Whoa! That's a Slime, a strange creature that appeared in Teyvat after crossing the world barrier! Sometimes, they charge at people, so be careful, Traveler!"

Upon hearing this, the little witch immediately became cautious and began swinging her bladeless sword wildly.

Seeing this scene, the Foundation members watching the screen all breathed a sigh of relief.

As expected, the guidance was effective.

If they hadn't given her a bladeless sword and she had no means of fighting the Slime, she might have instinctively sought to protect herself, which could trigger her abilities.

Now, as long as the bladeless sword lasted, she would most likely refrain from using her powers.

This was the result of guiding her habitual thinking.

Under the Foundation's careful arrangement, this completely harmless Slime fell to the little witch's sword, dissolving into a small puddle of gel and fading light.

Just as the little witch was feeling a sense of excitement, Paimon suddenly shouted,

"Watch out! More Slimes are coming!"

Sure enough, a large number of Slimes appeared ahead.

The little witch immediately panicked.

But at that moment, a fiery rain of arrows, wrapped in flames, rained down upon the Slimes.

As the arrows struck, the Slimes dissolved into fading light.

A girl dressed in a cute red outfit, with a red bunny-ear ribbon on her head, goggles around her neck, and long red-and-white boots, made her grand entrance.

In her hands, she held a bow—but notably, there was no quiver on her back.

Most eye-catching of all was the diamond-shaped ornament on her waist, glowing with a fiery red light, as if a flame were burning within it.

A Vision!
