Astrid observed the morning market with quiet interest, her expression mostly unchanged.
However, the vendors couldn't help but notice the silver-haired girl with her striking appearance and luxurious attire, their eyes inevitably drawn to her.
Fortunately, Astrid paid no mind to the stares.
She walked calmly, occasionally glancing at the vegetable stalls on either side or at Lyra, who was slightly shorter than her.
As they ventured deeper into the market, the air grew heavier with unpleasant smells. Astrid turned to look at Lyra, who happened to meet her gaze at the same moment.
Their eyes locked briefly, and Lyra's ears turned red. She quickly lowered her head and murmured, "Astrid... should we continue further?"
"I don't mind," Astrid replied indifferently.
After a brief pause, Lyra extended her hand toward Astrid, a faint blush coloring her neck.
"The road ahead is dirtier, so it's better if you stay close to me..."
