The Eyes of the Void
Floating in an endless space, there is neither up nor down. An absolute void—no sound, no sensation of cold or warmth. Just the feeling of "being there." Veil (voice trembling): "What... is this?" Specks of white and golden light appear in the distance, swirling like fireflies. These lights gather into a large circle, expanding more and more. A luminous halo engulfs him. Veil (panicking): "Wait, wait! What's happening?! Am I falling?!" His body is pulled through the circle. The sensation of falling becomes real. Wind lashes against his face as his arms flail in the emptiness. The sky shifts colors, from black to deep blue, then to blinding white. Clouds spiral around him, and the specks of light multiply. Veil (screaming): "No, no, no, NO! Stop! Stop this!" His body keeps plummeting, endlessly. Time seems to stretch, each second feeling like an eternity. Veil (internal thoughts): Is this... is this a dream? No... I can feel it... All of this... I can feel it... He glances downward. Below him lies an absolute nothingness—a black, infinite expanse, incomprehensible and vast. The white lights swirl around him as though observing him. Veil (internal thoughts): Where is... the ground? Where is... anything? A thick mist begins to form around him. It spreads slowly, covering the infinite horizon with a milky haze. The contours of this space blur, as if reality itself is uncertain. Vague shapes emerge from the mist. Ephemeral shadows, shifting and unidentifiable. They don't speak, but an invisible presence weighs on his shoulders. Veil (internal thoughts): What is that...? Why does it feel like I'm being watched...? The oppressive feeling of being observed grows stronger. Veil turns around quickly, but nothing solid comes into view. The mist moves, writhing like tendrils of smoke. He closes his eyes as the specks of light intensify, wrapping his body in a radiant cocoon. Silence.
