"Renkai, you are too humble! If you are not a scientist, then there are not enough people in the world who can be called scientists to count on one hand! I can introduce you to the world's top circle of scientists," Dr. Brief said enthusiastically, feeling like he had discovered a once-in-a-lifetime genius.
"Thank you, Dr. Brief," Renkai replied. After thinking for a moment, he realized that getting to know the top scientists on Earth wouldn't be a bad idea.
Never underestimate Earth's scientists. Even though they hadn't developed space travel yet, an Earth scientist had once created artificial humans strong enough to surpass the emperor of the universe and defeat a Super Saiyan.
"It's no trouble at all," Dr. Brief said happily. Their conversation shifted to various scientific topics, and Renkai proposed many innovative ideas, giving Dr. Brief new directions for his research.
"Renkai, come with me to the lab. I need your help with some projects," Dr. Brief said eagerly.
Renkai couldn't refuse and was soon dragged off to the lab.
"Father!" Bulma pouted in protest. She had just brought Renkai home, and her father was already making him work. "He's a guest! You can't just put him to work like this!"
Seeing her father take Renkai away, Bulma's mother, Mrs. Brief, simply smiled and shook her head. After chatting with the others for a while—mostly about Renkai—she instructed Bulma to arrange rooms for their guests.
Bulma assigned Renkai the most comfortable room in the house. Though the others' rooms weren't as luxurious, they were still excellent. The only exception was Yamcha, who had to share a room with Puar.
A Long Day in the Lab
That night, Renkai finally escaped from Dr. Brief's lab. He had spent nearly ten hours helping with scientific inventions and discussing various technical challenges. It was more exhausting than a hard-fought battle!
But now that he thought about it, he hadn't even had a proper fight since arriving in the Dragon Ball world.
The next morning, Dr. Brief immediately tried to drag Renkai back into the lab. "Come on, Renkai, I need your help again!"
But Renkai had already begun training Little Goku and Yamcha and couldn't leave. Dr. Brief sighed and agreed to let him train in the mornings—as long as he promised to help in the lab during the afternoons.
"Hey! Stop deciding things for me, Dr. Brief!" Renkai groaned.
Gravity Training Begins
And so, Renkai's life in the Western Capital began. Each morning, he trained Little Goku and Yamcha.
"Beep!"
Son Goku: Power Level 100 Yamcha: Power Level 21
The results spoke for themselves. Training under high gravity was the fastest way to get stronger in the Dragon Ball world. Yamcha was making progress thanks to his high-tech gravity suit, but Renkai was more focused on Little Goku.
This gave him an idea—what if they simulated Planet Vegeta's gravity? That planet had ten times Earth's gravity, and Saiyans had evolved in that environment. If Little Goku trained under similar conditions…
Renkai shared his idea with Bulma. Since she supported him unconditionally, they immediately started gathering materials. Working together, they created a gravity chamber with ten times Earth's gravity.
At first, Little Goku couldn't even stand up. He kept falling over, unable to adjust. But within a day, something awakened inside him—his Saiyan instincts kicked in. Soon, he was moving normally under ten times gravity.
His strength skyrocketed.
"Beep!"
Son Goku: Power Level 155 Yamcha: Power Level 28
"Yep, the gravity chamber is a must-have cheat code for any time traveler in the Dragon Ball world," Renkai mused. "But I'm a dragon, so I don't need one."
One month later…
"Beep!"
Son Goku: Power Level 240 Yamcha: Power Level 47
Renkai shook his head. "In the Dragon Ball world, Earthlings just can't keep up."
Even though Yamcha trained as hard as Little Goku, the difference in their growth rates was massive. Hard work alone couldn't bridge the gap of Saiyan bloodline superiority.
That night, after dinner, Renkai canceled Yamcha's training session. "Tonight, you're free to do as you please. Goku and I are going out for a bit."
"Alright, big brother!" Yamcha said eagerly. He admired Renkai deeply, knowing that all of his strength came from Renkai's guidance.
"Brother, where are we going?" Little Goku asked. "I still want to train!"
"We're heading to Mount Paozu," Renkai replied. He had an experiment in mind—one that required Goku's cooperation.
Using Instant Transmission, Renkai teleported with Little Goku to Kami's Lookout. From there, he locked onto Mount Paozu's location and teleported again.
"Brother, I haven't been home in so long! Can I check on it?" Little Goku asked.
Renkai nodded. While Goku inspected his old house—now covered in cobwebs—Renkai led him to the mountaintop.
"Goku, you can look at the full moon tonight," Renkai said casually.
He had deliberately allowed Goku to keep his monkey tail, but had warned him never to look at the moon at night without permission.
Little Goku didn't understand why, but he trusted Renkai completely. Excited, he tilted his head up to gaze at the bright, full moon.
Then, his body began to change. His eyes turned red, his face stretched, and sharp fangs grew in his mouth. His muscles swelled, his height increased dramatically, and thick fur covered his entire body.
Before Renkai's eyes, Little Goku transformed into a massive Great Ape, towering like a skyscraper.
