The ruined plain near the city crackled with tension, the air heavy with dust and the metallic tang of blood. Frieza stood in his final form, sleek and menacing, his combat detector humming: Frieza: 60 million (final form, 50%). Across from him, Vegeta roared, his body igniting with blood-red Kaio-ken energy. Vegeta: 40 million (20x Kaio-ken). "Frieza!" he bellowed, charging forward, a crimson comet streaking toward his lifelong nemesis.
Frieza's lips curled into a sneer, meeting Vegeta's fury with fluid grace. He parried blows effortlessly, but his eyes widened at the sheer force—Vegeta's power was a revelation, a Saiyan monkey daring to rival him. Yet, beneath his calm, a resolve hardened: no Saiyan would survive this day. Earth hid secrets—secrets he'd rip from its core.
Fists clashed, the ground quaking with each strike. Shockwaves flattened debris, the sky darkening as their auras collided. Less than a minute in, Vegeta faltered. Unlike Renkai's Shenron form, immune to strain, Vegeta's mortal frame buckled under 20x Kaio-ken. His breaths grew ragged, muscles screaming. Frieza seized the moment, tail lashing out to swat him aside. A death beam followed, piercing Vegeta's abdomen with a sickening hiss. Blood sprayed, the red aura vanishing as he plummeted, lifeless, toward the earth.
"Oh ho ho!" Frieza crowed, raising a hand. Energy swirled, a qigong bomb pulsing with apocalyptic might. "Farewell, Mr. Vegeta—Earth's secrets are mine now!" His grin widened, victory within grasp.
A sudden grimace twisted his face. Pain lanced through him, limbs locking as an invisible force seized his body. The bomb in his hand trembled, then detonated with a deafening boom. Frieza shrieked, blasted backward in a cloud of smoke, his pristine form marred with burns and gashes.
Raditz and Nappa darted in, snatching Vegeta from his fall. Raditz fumbled a senzu bean from his pouch, shoving it into Vegeta's mouth. The prince's eyes snapped open, wounds sealing as he surged to his feet, vitality restored. The Saiyan near-death boost kicked in—Vegeta: 3 million (base)—a raw leap in power. "You're stronger again, Vegeta!" Raditz exclaimed, awestruck.
Frieza staggered upright, smoke curling around him, his gaze locking onto Chiaotzu. The small warrior floated silently, golden Super Saiyan aura blazing. Chiaotzu: 250 million (Super Saiyan 1). It was him—his telekinesis had turned Frieza's attack inward, saving Vegeta. "You!" Frieza snarled, fury overtaking pain. "You meddling speck!"
Chiaotzu's expression remained blank, a killer's focus honed by Crane School training. Bulma's orders were clear: wait for Vegeta's defeat, then end Frieza. No flair, no hesitation—just results. He raised a finger, a slender qigong wave glowing at its tip, aimed at Frieza's chest.
Vegeta watched, stunned. "That's… like Guldo's power!" He'd always scorned superpowers as parlor tricks, insisting raw strength was king. But this—combat power paired with telekinesis—was a nightmare. Frieza, pinned and helpless, proved it.
The tyrant's muscles bulged, his final form pushing to 100%. Frieza: 120 million. "I'm the Universe Emperor!" he roared, straining against Chiaotzu's grip. Pain wracked him, but he couldn't break free. "Die here? On this filth-ridden rock?!"
Raditz paled, detector trembling in his hand. "120 million—and he's still stuck! That superpower's insane!" Vegeta's jaw tightened, a flicker of fear crossing his face as Chiaotzu's finger steadied.
"We're done here," Vegeta muttered, his voice heavy with resignation. Frieza's struggle was futile, a shadow of the terror he'd once been. With a nod to Nappa and Raditz, he teleported them back to Bulma's mansion, leaving the plain behind.
Chiaotzu's smile was faint, almost childlike, as his qigong wave lanced forth. "No…" Frieza's plea choked off, the beam piercing his chest. The Emperor of Evil, scourge of galaxies, crumpled—a headless corpse tumbling from the sky. Chiaotzu vanished in a shimmer, mission complete.
A hand caught Frieza's body mid-fall. Renkai materialized, gum popping between his teeth, his casual air at odds with the carnage. Fresh from a barbecue with Goku, he'd sensed the fight's end and teleported in. "Nice catch," he mused, hefting the corpse. Valuable experimental material—Dr. Gero could work wonders with this. His current Cells lacked Frieza's DNA; this could birth the true terror from the old timeline. He vanished, reappearing at Gero's lab.
"Renkai," Gero rasped, eyeing the body as Renkai dropped it onto a steel table, "more alien scraps?" Instruments hummed, scanning Frieza's remains. "Better than that Saiyan tail last time. But Cell? I've hit the ceiling—lost the spark for it."
Renkai rolled his eyes, leaning against a workbench. "Lost the spark, or scared stiff? Last Cell nearly made you a snack—fooled us with that obedient act 'til it turned. Hilarious, watching you dodge those claws!"
Gero's wrinkled face flushed. "Laugh all you want—I'm done with Cell. I need something fresh to ignite me again."
Renkai stroked his chin, a glint in his eye. "Fresh, huh? I've got an idea—new direction."
Gero perked up, skeptical but intrigued. "Spill it."
"Magic," Renkai said, smirking at Gero's incredulous stare. "Not science—creation through mystical means. Think bigger."
"Magic?" Gero sputtered. "I'm a scientist, not a wizard!"
"You wanted inspiration," Renkai shot back, hands spread. "Cell's tapped out—your words. This could be it."
Gero frowned, mulling it over. "Got proof? Talk's cheap—I need something tangible."
Renkai's grin widened. "Wait for it." He clapped Gero's shoulder and teleported home.
Bulma greeted him, poised to debrief about Frieza's takedown and the Dog King's latest payout. Renkai waved her off. "Handle the small fry yourself from now on—no need to loop me in." He pulled her close, savoring a quiet moment before strolling outside. Vegeta intercepted him, eyes blazing with a manic edge.
"Renkai!" Vegeta burst out, practically vibrating. "My base power's 3 million now! I'm ready—tell me how to hit Super Saiyan!"
Renkai paused, sizing him up. The prince's desperation was palpable, a fire stoked by Frieza's fall. Earth's secrets had borne fruit—Vegeta was on the cusp, and the universe would feel it.
