Carmen clenched her fists, fighting the urge to yell. “Are you serious right now, Mister Monteiro? You really think making more money is the only thing that matters right now? The company is bleeding funds because of these discrepancies, and you’re telling me not to worry about it?”

Romero shrugged nonchalantly, his eyes narrowing slightly. “I don’t need you questioning my decisions. I’ve been handling this business long before you came around, Carmen. And I’m telling you not to bother me with this.”

Carmen shook her head in disbelief. “You’re just going to dismiss it just because it wasn’t mentioned to you directly, isn’t it? There are clear issues that need to be fixed before things get worse, Mister Monteiro. We need to know who is behind this,” she objected.

Romero’s gaze grew cold, his lips curving into a tight, stubborn line. “You’re questioning my authority, Carmen. I don’t like that. You’re here to do as you’re told, not to lecture me.”
