Something was there. Something waiting for him.

Before he could even react, it began to grow.

A mushroom—one different from the rest erupted from the ground at an unnatural speed. Its growth was so explosive that it didn't just push through the soil; it launched him into the air.

His entire body lifted off the ground, propelled upward by the sheer force of its expansion. He barely had time to process what was happening before he was bounced from one mushroom to another.

Every time he landed, another mushroom would emerge, launching him further, higher—completely out of control.
