Yuno sought another opportunity to live but discovered this unique situation instead. After his rebirth as a minuscule fungal organism in a harsh environment he discovers the Mycelium System which allows him to evolve while battling his way through dungeons to ascend the food chain.

Yuno starts his journey after surviving goblin attacks while he battles legendary warriors to discover his true purpose. While Yuno becomes more powerful the shadowy forces of Brave Mainland gain more strength. A tiny mushroom seeks to achieve the status of world's greatest hero.

Chapter 54: The Corruption Awakens

The battlefield was in ruins. A heavy tension filled the air as a weightless pressure suffocated everything. The battlefield was covered by blood and broken weapons and pieces of the dead soldiers. The former majestic battle formations of warriors had completely dissolved. The soldiers' order vanished completely leaving behind only the desperate state of chaos.

Two figures remained visible through the shifting fungal mist that pulsed with light. A dense power enveloped them as if it were a living being. The object moved against natural forces because an unknown power directed its movements. The atmosphere buzzed with powerful vibrations that filled the air.

A sudden fissure appeared in the ground before them.
