Which one should I choose?

Dark clouds gathered overhead. Some pitch black, others greyish, while some a rich shade of aquamarine. Lightning pierced through the sky at irregular intervals, and thunder rumbled in an earth shattering noise. Soon, drop by drop fluid rain descended on earth, moistening the thirsty soil. Rain pattered on the lush green gardens of Ignaz Palace, drummed on the roofs of mansions. It also fell on a lonely wooden cabin.

Inside the cabin sat a twelve year old, with a rather happy face. This, in itself was quite surprising. You see, in such weather, even the emperor himself could not help but be displeased.

The boy, all the while humming a happy tune, was doing something that any normal person would find mentally ...ill.

He recklessly slashed his palm and held it over the egg he received yesterday from Eric, his blood brother.

Only when the egg was drenched in his blood did he stop.

Patching his hand up with a little bit of healing magic, he began drawing runes on the egg. The knowledge of runes was something he learnt from the system shop at the cost of a few hundred system coins, which he had received for merely managing to stay alive without bloodshed.

Once the first batch of runes was finished, it took the shape of a complex seal and sunk underneath. After five batches of runes had successfully etched themselves on the incubating serpent did Helios stop.

The previously dull and unremarkable egg now gleamed a rich royal blue, with intricate golden seals embroidering its outer shell. Under Helios's gentle caress, it vibrated and hummed softly, indicating the beginning of a perfect incubation process.

After about a millennium, a blood phoenix dragon was about to be born!

Suddenly, Helios heard a soft knock on the door, along with a sickly sweet voice.

"It's time to wake up, Young Master"

Instantly Helios expertly hid the egg and greeted the maid who had come to wake him up. From the original Helios's memories, he remembered this person as the Emperor's personal maid, and she would only visit him when the Emperor ordered so.

This time also wasn't anything different.

The maid, Livia by name, seeing Helios up and about, was instantly in a sour mood. After all, now she didn't get an opportunity to berate him.

Expertly hiding her emotions under a mask of professionalism, she hurled down two sets of clothes on the bed for Helios to choose from for using and revealed her true motive behind coming to him so early in the morning.

"Get ready quickly, His Majesty the Emperor has ordered your presence in the dining hall within fifteen minutes for breakfast."

Having delivered her message, Livia spun around on her heels and left Helios's humble abode.

Helios was quite taken aback. According to the former Helios's memory, the only time that son of a b***ch emperor sent for him was the morning of his tenth birthday, to stare helplessly as her mother was hanged, the life slowly ebbing out of her once rosy face.

So why was he being sent for today?

An ominous feeling pooled around Helios's lower abdomen. For a split second, he seriously considered running away.

But then again, he remembered that he had already died once. So what does he have to fear?

Putting an end to procrastination, he tore open both the packages.

The first one revealed a set of beautiful but plain garments specially made for well-trained slaves, an ordinary robe with the Royal Insignia of Ignaz majestically embroidered on it. The mere sight of the dress made his blood boil!

How dare His Majesty? After all, he was a freaking Prince now! Though secretly in his heart he had to admit, the quality of the garment was far superior than the thin cotton shirts and denim jeans he wore in his previous life.

Unflinching, he opened the other packet. It revealed a stunning black robe with intricate golden designs on it. The entire Royal Insignia of Ignaz was embroidered on the back, with gold threads. Truly a garment fit for a king.

As he was deliberating on which dress to wear to the dining hall, the system made its presence known with a sudden unexpected ding.

[Hour of decision:

Option 1: Choose the 1st garment and walk the path of a loyal servant, successfully becoming the right hand man of the reigning Emperor.

Option 2: Wear the 2nd garment and step on the path of a true monarch.

Host has 60 seconds to decide.

After given time is up, the Host would be dressed up in a random garment and the other one would be shredded.]
