Arrival

"Douluo Star?!"

The corners of Liuxing's mouth twitched as he finally understood where the sense of déjà vu came from. Wasn't this the world mentioned in a novel he had read before? This was the world of the Douluo Continent!

However, Liuxing quickly calmed down. Since Firefly was real, then the world of the Douluo Continent being real wasn't entirely unacceptable.

There were several adaptations of Douluo Continent, but he had only watched the first one. The Goddess of Life didn't appear in the first part, which was why he didn't realize it at first.

He had no idea what time period the current Douluo Continent was in. But with Firefly by his side, no matter the time period, he was confident and fearless.

"Yes! Douluo Star is very suitable for you. The cultivation system there is unique and continues to be beneficial even after becoming a god. It will suit you perfectly," the Goddess of Life explained, thinking Liuxing was curious about the planet she had chosen for him. She briefly introduced Douluo Star to him and Firefly.

Firefly, however, was still in a daze. Although she had inherited Liuxing's memories, they weren't her own, so they felt blurry and indistinct, like seeing flowers through a fog. Unlike Liuxing, who instantly recognized the name Douluo Star, she didn't make the connection to the web novel.

Liuxing glanced at the Goddess of Life and couldn't help comparing her to the God Asura from his impressions of Douluo Continent. After all, Tang San, the protagonist of the story, had ultimately become the God Asura, a god of law enforcement. At the same time, he also became the Sea God, holding an unprecedented dual godhood—a testament to his protagonist status.

Unaware of Liuxing's internal comparison between herself and the Sea God, the Goddess of Life focused on the dim starlight surrounding Liuxing. Her divine power surged as she tried to envelop the starlight and shift it. Yet, despite her efforts, the starlight remained immovable, leaving her slightly stunned.

As if stimulated by the divine power of the Goddess of Life, the starlight trembled slightly before transforming into a streak of light and burrowing into Liuxing's body, vanishing completely.

The Goddess of Life shook her head gently and smiled at Liuxing. "This seems to be a treasure. It can shield you from the turbulence of time and space—quite extraordinary. Unfortunately, it appears to have expended most of its strength. I don't know when it will recover, but you must take good care of it. Don't easily let others know of its existence."

Liuxing nodded solemnly. He understood the value of the starlight, though he couldn't figure out its exact location within his body. It was clear to him that it was an extraordinary treasure.

Initially, Liuxing had resigned himself to the possibility that the starlight that brought them here might be taken by the Goddess of Life as a form of compensation for her aid in reshaping his body. To his surprise, the Goddess of Life had let it be, without a hint of greed.

From this moment on, Liuxing had a newfound respect for the Goddess of Life. She truly lived up to her name: gentle, generous, kind, and a paragon of virtue. Every positive adjective he could think of seemed to suit her perfectly.

She was a god of boundless love, not one who coveted treasures or possessions. Even a fool could see that the starlight was extraordinary, yet the Goddess of Life had no desire for it.

Unlike other gods, who would have likely seized such a rare treasure without hesitation, the Goddess of Life stood apart. She cared little for material gains; her nature was pure and selfless. The only thing that might tempt her in this world, Liuxing thought, would be something related to life itself—perhaps children. But otherwise, her heart was unwavering.

"Alright, I'll send you to Douluo Star. Do your best! I'll be waiting for you in the Divine Realm," the Goddess of Life said with a warm smile.

With a wave of her hand, she tore open the fabric of space. A verdant divine light enveloped Liuxing and Firefly, guiding them into the spatial passage.

As the spatial crack gradually closed, the Goddess of Life clasped her hands together and whispered a blessing. "I wish you the best of luck."

Considering the laws of the Divine Realm, the gods strictly forbade interference in the lower realm. For this reason, the Goddess of Life did not leave a trace of her divine sense on Liuxing or Firefly. The next time they met would likely be when either Liuxing or Firefly initiated the divine examination.

The Goddess of Life paused for a moment, deep in thought, before turning and heading back toward the Divine Realm. She needed to convince the God of Destruction to approve the descent of the divine examination.

Recently, the God of Destruction's behavior had become increasingly erratic. The influence of destruction's laws seemed to weigh heavier on him with each passing day. Not long ago, he had a heated dispute with the Sea God, a conflict that further highlighted his growing instability.

This was why the Goddess of Life was so eager to have Liuxing and Firefly inherit her and the God of Destruction's divine positions. Though born of the essence of destruction, the God of Destruction had become more extreme and unbalanced as time went on. The Goddess of Life couldn't help but worry about what the future held.

Douluo Continent – Heavenly Soul Empire, outskirts of Dragon City.

A beautiful woman with long blue hair, appearing to be in her thirties, looked up at the sky. A turquoise glow streaked across the heavens, catching her attention. Her eyes flickered with curiosity.

"What's that?"

The woman was quick to act. Without hesitation, she leapt into the air, transforming into a streak of icy blue light as she flew toward the direction where the glow had fallen.

Covering over 20 kilometers in a matter of minutes, she arrived at a secluded valley. However, by the time she got there, the turquoise glow had already disappeared. Instead, in this desolate area, she found two young children who looked about four or five years old—a boy and a girl.

Both children had striking silver hair and blue-pink eyes, their resemblance so strong that they appeared to be twins or siblings.

The woman's pupils constricted. Finding children in the wilderness was odd, but her first thought wasn't that they were lost. Instead, she immediately suspected something far more extraordinary—these were likely soul beasts in human form!

A smile curled at the corners of her lips, and her heart raced with excitement. "Did Grandma just hit the jackpot today? Two shape-shifting soul beasts? That's 100,000-year-old soul bones right there! What luck!"

---

At the same time, deep within the Star Dou Great Forest, in the forbidden area, the calm waters of a turquoise lake rippled slightly.

Within the lake's hidden depths, a massive beast lying dormant in a separate spatial dimension slowly opened its vertical purple pupils.

On the shore of the lake, a towering black-haired figure with golden eyes and a pair of black dragon horns knelt on one knee. His aura radiated overwhelming power and authority as he addressed the awakened entity with utmost respect.

"My lord, you have finally awakened," he said reverently.

The massive beast ignored the figure entirely, its gaze fixed on the distant horizon. A faint murmur escaped its lips.

"Life…"

Back in the valley, Liuxing stood frozen as he stared at the blue-haired woman in front of him. His mouth twitched with frustration. The Goddess of Life definitely had her unreliable moments. Not only had she sent him and Firefly to some remote backwater, but now they had run straight into a big boss!

Moments ago, this blue-haired woman had descended from the sky, her demeanor radiating danger and authority. Liuxing could already tell she wasn't someone to be trifled with.

"Why do we have such terrible luck? We just arrived on Douluo Continent, and this happens!"

The blue-haired woman narrowed her eyes at the two children. Though they seemed harmless, something about them was strange. She couldn't detect the aura of soul beasts at all, which made no sense given her status as a Titled Douluo.

Though she had only advanced to level ninety-two by relying on external aids, she was still a bona fide Titled Douluo. For two children to appear here without any discernible presence—it was unusual, to say the least.
