The popular game ?

After a long day, packed with classes, she finally got home. No one to welcome her, just the small yet cozy apartment.

She freshen up with a long shower and had her dinner - boiled egg and cup noodles.

Not much, but can keep you alive. . . and let's have it while it's warm.

It's was 19:32 when she looked at the clock beside her bed. It was even late today because of those extra self study period.

The blanket. . . the bed everything was cozy, all the tiredness washed over her as she drift off into her sleep.

____

There was pleasant aroma of freshly baked cake. Countless shop gave off a carnivalistic atmosphere.

"Found you...."Suddenly someone hugged from behind. Covering eyes, taking away the warm atmosphere.

"... sorry..."

___

Tien Mao, for some unknown reason woke up. The voice and the feeling of being hugged was too vivid... in her dream.

It was almost 21:00. But she couldn't sleep... After that.. it's been like this for the past few days.... she tossed and turned, rolled around her bed, but no use. Those weird dreams. . .

She tried hard to stop her hand from reaching out for her phone, but failed... again. She glanced around, a habit. Grandma would be angry with current life style.

If only she saw me...

...Oh well. Let's play.... nope if I log in now it will be morning.... Then let's just take a look at the game they were talking about.

She saw her hagged eyes and Massey bangs on its black screen before it lit up and started working under her fingers.

Blood Pact.... It's indeed popular. 10m+ download... quite something.

She pushed the download option knowing very well she will regret it tomorrow.

It was a matter of moment before it was downloaded.

But. . . After logging into the game, it was like the screen of her phone went on a vacation. It was completely black. . . No music or any welcome notification. . .

Did it just crushed my phone..?- With that thought, she sat up, angrily.

But then the game started. Rather it's was telling a story... In a cold feminine voice...

"In a world forgotten by it's God" the line wasn't loud but sudden, startling her. Before she could clam down, the voice continue-

"So Some Human had to become it's protector." this line unknowingly sent a chill through her body.... But it also gave her a nostalgic feeling.

Her arms slowly went numb. She thought she was being paranoid, and tried to log out hurriedly. But her breath got stuck in her throat.... she couldn't.

There's no way I'm imagining this. I need to stop this --

She pushed every button she knew to turn it off.

But nothing worked. The screen remained colored with pixelated dark hue.

"They were our protector . . .And we . . . became their's."

Stop--

As a last and only option, she threw the phone at the wall with all her strength. It hit the wall with a loud thud before falling upsidedown on the mattress. The screen turned black, meaning it broke.. .... .... No more story lines can be heard.

What just happened??

Her hands were cold from the terror she just experienced.... unable to put a logic behind it....

Taking in Sharp breathes, Tien Mao slowly got out of her bed. She then walked closer to her 'former' phone, scared it might...suddenly, might lit up with a warning like massage, just like every horror movie she had seen till now.

A few minutes passed by. Nothing happened. She was still looking at her phone, cautiously. Then finally, she relaxed, sighing loudly with relief.

But suddenly, she felt a burning sensation into her nostrils. Followed by terrible headache. It worsened by the passing moment.

"But they couldn't protect themselves " this line echoed. Her heartbeat rising as she looked at her broken phone.

This time it wasn't from her phone...This line was echoing inside her head, making head splitting pain with each echo..... Terror rising to her throat, numbing her with pain.

But she felt ....this time the voice was bit sadder....

Unable to bare the pain she falls onto the ground. Her vision was way too blurry to see anything, all she could feel was her whole body was burning up. She wanted to move but she couldn't gather an ounce of strength. Pain became more unbearable. She felt as if someone or something was twisting her insides.... Slowly. . . from ribs to farther inside.

She opened her mouth to scream out the pain, but only blood gushed out... with a faint cough. Her blood covered the cheap mattress below.

Why she was bleeding from ears and nose as if she had some serious internal damage? Why?? And what is happening??? Who is...?

Her confusion didn't last long as she couldn't breathe properly. She grasped for air.... but now even her throat feels sour.... She wanted to call for help but . . . Whom she is going to call?? She is alone...

Can't.... breath...Why am I going through this?? If I die . . .now.... Like this.... No one will come.....am I going to rot...?Please....I don't want to die like this...

She was praying for someone. Anyone. Even those annoying classmates would do. . .Her eyes became teary, not from the pain. But the loneliness that was eating her away. It always has....

..

...

....

Tien Mao's . . heart finally gave up. . The small apartment was now completely silent, without any ragged breath. Suddenly, in that dark room, a glittering ball of light appeared in front of her lifeless body. It was small in size and gave off soft glow... it flew around her.... Slowly taking a figure of human.... countless light sparks appeared around her, if only Tien Mao's lifeless body wasn't there... she would look like a goddess.

"So protect them, dear ****** ."

That mysterious being watched her with a pained and sorrowful eyes.

But the surrounding atmosphere suddenly became dark. The room became dampy and dead, like the calm before the storm.

The mysterious entity stood still, probably looking for the cause of this sudden dimensions shift. A frowned appeared on her face as she figured something.

Suddenly the windows shattered. She looked at the broken glasses on the ground.

There was a mirror beside the bed, facing them. Small from the sides yet long. Long enough for any being to inter through it. The mysterious being flew closer to Tien Mao and wrapped her arms around her, gently and protectively. Her eyes fixed on the mirror. The mirror slowly became dark and darker, until it was completely black as if someone had opened a door to abyss. Something was approaching....

The mysterious being stared at the, now, abyssal mirror... She knows beside her, only he would come this far to get her . . . Soul. She sighed with a pained expression, and wiped some bloody-tears from her face, gently.

Some crack appeared on Tien Mao's body. For some unknown reason that mysterious being seemed happy and watched her body was slowly breaking down with cracking radiance, bit by bit as if she was no longer a human. Her broken body was disappearing bit by bit....

"How...." A tall slander figure, appeared on the other side of the mirror. He seemed strong but why he didn't broke down the mirror was a question. He slumped down on the other side. His voice soft and broken. His pale skin was cracking up with unknown black symbiotic lines. His ashen hair and monstrous build made him almost a devil, yet something about his gaze was broken. His eyes were only at Tien Mao's faded body fragments.

"It was your doing... did you forget ?" The mysterious being watched him without any emotion in her eyes. Her words made the devilish figure tilt his head as if he just lost his last bit of sanity.

"My. . . doing. . . Right. . . That's why I need to find her. . ." His hollow and black eyes light up with a pained-maniac scoff.

"Oh, you are not going anywhere." As soon as she said those words, countless celestial chain started binding the mirror. "You are not needed in this flow." Those words were with filled anger and disgust.

"Right. . .But I need her. . ." With those words, the mirror broke down on it's own.

The mysterious being was rather stunned for a moment. In the heavy silence and bloodied atmosphere she stood, motionless. She stared at the broken shards "This time I'll make sure. . ."
