Rising Blade

Rising Blade was a man whose emotions were on display all the time. Whether he benefited from it or not, his life still had many years to come to judge the outcome of it.

As he took the boy and tried to chat with him numerous times, he realized that this boy did not have any preference, did not have any attachments, and did not have any emotions at all. The only time he might look alive was when he put his hand on a magic scroll, but he didn't show any interest when the magic on the scroll was activated by others. Was he interested in the Roh that was stored in the scroll itself?

'Wind Crusher, I know I gave you this nickname, which will be your official sorcerer name when your training is complete and you become acknowledged by the association. However, that does not mean you have to leave your old name; you can use it as you want after you earn your nickname.

My name is Aaron Teddy, which was given to me by my mother. She was a good person, took care of me when no one was there to help me, fought the system, so I could get a master and be an affiliated sorcerer until I finished my studies on wind Roh. And that is why you are Wind Crusher. I have a Rising Blade made out of wind, given to me by my master, the greatest sorceress that ever lived, Crescent Gale—at least, that is what she wanted me to say about her. Since she is your grandmaster, you ought to say the same when talking about her.'

Rising Blade had a smile on his face while reminiscing, trying to let his pupil know him better and for them to talk, but all the boy did was nod.

This is going to be tough, Rising Blade thought.

The next day.

'Ok, Wind, you have seen a few scrolls and seen me activate some of them. Do you know how any of it actually works?'

Wind looked at him and said,

'You activate the formula from the scroll using your body's Roh.'

Rising Blade smiled.

'That is almost true, but the scroll itself also has Roh imprinted on it when the sorcerer draws it. You can only activate a scroll easily if it has been drawn by one. Otherwise, it will require more effort to activate it, and that is if we are going to use a scroll. If you want to use it without any physical representation of the Roh, it will deplete your reserve of Roh much faster. Wait, you understand the words I'm using, right?'

'Yes,'

Wind answered him while putting his hand on one of the scrolls.

It looks like, in a few days, while he is just putting his hand on the scrolls, whatever amount of potential we saw in him was nothing at all. This boy is going to be a beast, and I can gain the credit as his master. Rising Blade was looking forward to the future as the master of Wind Crusher.

After a week of Wind not doing anything other than touching scrolls, which Rising Blade thought to take him out of it a lot of times, he saw the boy's reserves just deplete and refill themselves, even though he hadn't activated any of the scrolls or even caused a small movement of the wind from his actions.

The boy's core seemed infinite, but at the same time, it looked like it was leaking on its own.

'How about you try and activate this one?'

Rising Blade handed Wind a scroll with a simple formula.

Wind took the scroll and looked at his master.

'I'll guide you through this one. Just make sure to do what I say, even if it goes wrong, it's a very simple spell; it shouldn't cause harm to any of us.'

Rising Blade adjusted himself.

'Now, take a deep breath and hold the scroll with one hand and point the other toward the direction you want to cause the effect. Think deeply on how you want the wind to change direction. If the wind does change direction in the area you are pointing at, what are the changes that are going to happen and what will not happen? Will the tree leaves rustle? Will the tree itself move? Will the rock move? Will the grass be cut? Think through all of these for a moment ...

If you have a complete thought regarding each of these questions, try to activate your Roh slowly. Think through what are the effects of the spell and that energy you have on your right hand holding the scroll, activating it and following the direction of your left hand.'

At that moment, Rising Blade felt something strange. The amount of Roh that was rushing toward the scroll should have activated it a long time ago, but there was nothing coming out of Wind's scroll activation.

'Wind, you can stop.'

The boy stopped and looked at his master and said,

'Did I do it wrong?'

Rising answered, still feeling something was wrong, 'Most likely not, but out of curiosity, what do you think will happen to the area you are pointing at when your skill activates?'

'The leaves will be torn apart, the tree will fall, the rocks would split apart, and the grass area will be clear.'

I think there is more than his emotions that are damaged ...
