After sitting on the steps of the Throne for an hour, I stood up, taking a deep breath. I began walking out of the Throne room, going down the staircase. I arrived at the double doors that are the entrance and pushed them open. I walked down the ruined old city; after exiting it, I continued to follow the stream.
[ 1 Hour later ] I have been following the stream for a while when I began noticing the first signs of a civilization. A bridge built of wood was separating the stream from a road; it was a dirt road, and it had fresh signs of cart and horse hooves in it. I began following them after crossing the bridge.
As I followed the tracks, I began to think, "What kind of races are in this world ? Elves, maybe, since I'm one of them; humans, maybe, dragons. It would be cool to meet one or not; maybe they are hostile to other races."As I finished that thought, I looked up and stopped in my tracks. Ten meters ahead of me was a gate; it was made of steel and wood. On either side of the gate were guards holding halberds. as i moved closer to the gate they immediately crossed their weapons in an X formation One of The Guards spoke i was surprised that I can understand him. He spoke, "Halt, elf!" He spoke with a cold voice, "Why are you here?" I raised my hands in the air and spoke, "I'm hungry and need rest." he regarded me for a minute then asked What is Your Name Elf Before I spoke, I had to think fast; my first and last name. wont sound from this world Just as I was about to speak, a name came to mind. The name wasn't familiar, but it sounded right. I spoke it aloud: Aelthas Lightseeker . After they asked a couple more questions, they let me go with a warning that I would be watched. I was looking for an inn or a hotel where I could stay. I immediately spotted one not too far from the gate I entered it and was called Dawnsong Inn. As I entered, the air was filled with the sound of laughter, and a bard was singing an unfamiliar song . The air smelled of wine and meat; the inn was cozy and full . As I entered, a few patrons regarded me before returning to their stuff. I sat at the bar and looked for a waiter. While resting at the castle, I had discovered a pouch full of gold; it was attached to my back, so I didn't notice it. As for my weapons, they were with me. I noticed a young woman in maid clothing behind the bar walking towards me . She spoke, "Good evening, good sir, how may I help you?" Her voice was soft and gentle like a summer breeze. She was a pretty little thing with silky blonde hair and warm gray eyes; her face was cute and delicate. I smiled and said, "I would like some wine and some beef." I noticed she blushed when I spoke. she left quickly and i chuckled to my self while I waited thought, what should I do in this world? I had gold, but it won't last me forever . Maybe I should become a hunter. Hmmm, not for me. A mercenary? Tempting, but no . Maybe I can ask if there is an Elf Kingdom I can travel to and join the army, become a guard, or maybe even an adventurer. That sounds fun and Profitable ! Wait, is there even an adventurer's guild in this world? I didn't think of that. I will ask later, I thought while glancing around. Just then, the waitress from earlier arrived, carrying a bowl of meat with potatoes and a tall pitcher of wine. I thanked her and gave her 2 gold, which surprised her. I inquired about the elven kingdom, and she told me all she knew. It was a long way from here, located in the Magical Forest known as Old Grove. The elves, dwarves, and humans were in alliance; she didn't know why, but they were. I thanked her and asked if there was an adventurer's guild. She said there wasn't. I was disappointed but hid it well. After finishing the delicious meal and the wine, I booked a room for the night and left the inn to look for a horse and a coat to buy. As I walked, some people glanced at me, and some sneered when they saw my ears. I paid them no mind. I noticed a blacksmith shop , so I entered and saw that there were also some coats with armor pads. I looked through them and stopped at one. It was long, black, and it wouldn't restrict my movements while moving. It cost only 5 gold coins, which he didn't know the name of. After buying it, I pulled off my quiver and bow from my back and put on the coat, fastening the buttons . After putting back the quiver and bow, I also bought arm guards that were black and fit well with my coat. after leaving the shop I continue walking down the street as the sun starts to descend in the sky. I ask around if anyone knows where I can buy a horse. I was pointed in a direction by an old man in long robes and a staff-a mage, I thought. After walking in that direction, I finally found a horse stable. I entered and began looking at horses.
Immediately, one caught my attention. Its body was black as a starless night, its mane and tail were pure white like a star, its eyes were dark amber, almost red, and it had a golden hoof. After buying it for 50 gold coins, I didn't know why, but the stable owner gave it to me for such a low price. However, I won't complain; the horse was gorgeous. After saddling it with a black saddle I brought, I took an apple and gave it to the horse. After feeding it, I slowly mounted it and commanded it to stride slowly. I patted its mane gently, and it obliged . While traveling back towards the inn, I thought of a name- maybe Twilight or Night Strider.
