As Aegor finished speaking, I nodded. I would miss my black hair, but there is nothing I can do about it, or at least I assume so. I slowly stood up from the bed and noticed that my height had increased slightly, going from 6'0" to 6'3". I smirked slightly, which caused poor Leona to blush even more, which made me chuckle. She stomped towards me and struck me in the chest with a pout. Aegor and Dion chuckled as well. Leona stomped off with a huff and a grumble, which is registered as "stupid Aelthas." Honestly, she was too cute. But I know I shouldn't pursue something with her; she is younger and is already spoken for. I shook myself of those thoughts, and Dion, Aegor, and I made our way from the tent towards the Aegor tent. Dion gave me my bow and quiver; I strapped them both in their places before we took to the road to Old Grove. We all ate some rabbit stew we had prepared and began the trek. It won't take us long, by Aegor's estimation, around two or three hours max . The rest of the journey was quiet and relaxed; however, we all had our guard up.
[2 Hours later] Dion and I were in the middle of a conversation about my sword. He asked where I got it just as I was about to answer. Aegor shouted, "Halt!" I looked forward, and my jaw almost dropped. In front of me was a beautiful bride made of white stone . The lamp posts were in black metal. The bridge led to a gorgeous metal gate that was surrounded by white walls as tall as some buildings back in my world . The gates started to open, and we were all led into the city beyond the gates. It was massive, stretching out as far as I could see. There were some giant trees scattered around , which made it even more breathtaking. Aegor and the guard in charge whispered to each other, and I saw the guard's eyes widen before he sharply looked in my direction. I was startled but hid it well. The guard motioned for one younger guard, and after listening, the younger guard mounted a horse and rode toward the castle, which was at the center of the city. The guards' armor was gold and green, which looked similar to the Lord of the Rings elf armor. I can only assume they were talking about me as we all made our way toward the castle. The elf and dwarf stopped to look at us. I smirked slightly, noticing some elf girl giggling as they saw me. Dion, who washed off me, turned and gave me a wink. I took in the city; it was breathtaking, simply gorgeous . The buildings looked pristine, streets clean, and people appeared happy. My mind wandered to a thought: I wanted to find a girlfriend, but with what Aegor told me about the Lightsekker family, which was this body part of the nobles, it wouldn't allow me to find anyone simple. I planned to make this kingdom my home until I die or return to my world. I put those thoughts at the back of my mind. I looked up only to see that we made it to the huge white castle. We were told to dismount and hand our weapons over. I refused to let go of my bow, which Aegor allowed. I handed my sword and dagger, and as for the hammer, since they couldn't pick it up, I had to carry it to the armory, where it would stay until I got it in an hour after we meet the king and his family. Leona was nervous and approached me. I patted her head. "Don't worry, Lady Leona, you will be fine." She spoke, "What if he doesn't like me? What if I'm not good enough?" I let her finish before I spoke. "He will like you. What is there not to like?" She blushed and smiled at me. She spoke, "Thank you, Aelthas." I nodded with a small smile. We all made our way towards the throne room. Inside the castle was breathtaking, just as it was outside . The walls were decorated with pictures depicting battles . One section caught my attention; it was of an elf holding my bow while an army of what looked like demons was running toward him. Aegor noticed this and spoke, "This is your ancestor, the founder of the Lightsekker family. His name is Atreus Lightsekker . The bow you have is the same bow he is holding in the picture. It was made from an ebony elder tree. The gold is the purest gold, melted with dragon fire. The string is made from hairs of a unicorn, the last of its kind. It was crafted by your ancestor. By your display of using light magic, I am further convinced that you are a Lightsekker, since only the Lightsekker family possesses light magic. Sadly, our crown prince didn't inherit it, nor did his father. However, the prince's older sister did." Crown Prince's older sister-hmm, I wonder why she is not the Crown Princess. Maybe it's because males are preferred on the throne; it is not my business. We arrived at the throne room doors. I took a deep breath and stepped right to the side of Leona . As we entered, we were walking on a red carpet. When the nobles and guards saw me, they immediately bowed at the waist . The herald, which I didn't notice, announced my name along with "Presenting Princess Leona Evangelion, Princess of Dawnshire , Presenting Lord Aelthas Lightsekker." I looked up at the throne, and my breath caught in my throat- not for the queen or the throne, but for a girl a few years older than me. She had straight silver hair which framed her face and flowed down her back. She had emerald green eyes, the same as mine, her face the color of peach, with a gorgeous angular structure. She was dressed in elegant white and gold robes. I felt my heart start to race faster, and a strange warmth flooded my entire body. I felt drawn to her like a moth to a flame. I had never felt anything like this before. It seemed the princess herself was looking toward me, and with the smirk on her delicate face, she caught my love- struck look. I blushed to the roots of my hair and took a second to compose myself.
