The Salgaran transport ship skimmed just above the treetops, gliding over the vast, open lands of Val'katl. The morning sun painted the horizon in golden hues, casting long shadows across the towering cliffs and dense jungles below.
Tlandar sat in quiet contemplation in the co-pilot's seat, watching the landscape pass beneath them. The world he once knew—Verdantis Nexus, New Asemeri, the plains and forests of Val'katl—was fading behind him.
Now, he was heading toward something entirely new.
Akashma remained focused, piloting the ship with fluid precision as they approached the Dominion of the Warrior Queens.
Tlandar had never seen this part of Val'katl's lands, and what he saw ahead stunned him.
Approaching the Salgaran Dominion
The Salgaran village stretched wide beneath them, built at the base of a towering citadel—the Sanctum of Orchids.
Unlike New Asemeri's cold metallic spires, the Salgaran village pulsed with life and movement.
As the transport ship descended, flying at a steady low altitude, Tlandar saw:
Large futuristic wheeled cargo trucks, transporting goods from across Val'katl. Hover vehicles ferrying travelers to and from the village. Foot guards clad in crimson and silver armor, patrolling the perimeter. A vast market district, filled with merchants selling food, weapons, Salgaran tech, and exotic goods from across Astashica.
Towering bronze statues of legendary female warriors stood at the village's entrance, each carved with intricate detail—expressions fierce, weapons raised in eternal vigilance.
Tlandar had never seen anything like it.
He muttered under his breath, "This place is… alive."
Akashma smirked slightly as she adjusted the ship's altitude. "Salgar's dominion has always been more than a fortress—it is a beacon."
Tlandar simply watched in awe as they approached their landing site.
The Gates of the Sanctum
The Sanctum of Orchids loomed ahead, its massive two-door metal gates gleaming beneath the morning light.
Majestic pillars lined the outer walls, each engraved with inscriptions of the Salgaran philosophy, devoted to "The Radiance of the Eternal Balance." The palace within the Sanctum stood in the distance, a monument to the Dominion's strength and wisdom.
Akashma brought the ship to a soft landing just outside the gates, selecting an unobstructed space. The landing struts engaged, and the engines powered down with a low hum.
Tlandar exhaled slowly, feeling the gravity of the moment.
He wasn't running anymore. He was arriving.
Entering the Sanctum
The ship's ramp extended, and Tlandar and Akashma stepped onto solid ground.
Two Salgaran gate guards, their armor reflecting the early light, stood in attention at the entrance.
The moment they saw Akashma, they immediately crossed their arms over their chests in salute.
"Akashma," one of them greeted respectfully. "Welcome home."
She nodded. "We have returned from Val'katl. Let us pass."
The guards stepped aside without hesitation.
With a deep, resonating groan, the massive metal doors began to open, revealing the immense hall beyond.
Tlandar watched as they entered. He had never felt smaller in his life.
The Grand Hall of the Warrior Queens
The interior was breathtaking.
Colossal pillars stretched toward the ceiling, carved with the stories of legendary warrior queens who once ruled these lands. Polished obsidian floors reflected the glow of floating lanterns, suspended in elegant formations above them. The hall was filled with Salgaran warriors and palace attendants, each moving with purpose and discipline.
Tlandar couldn't help but whisper, "This is incredible."
Akashma walked forward, unfazed by the grandeur. "You will come to understand it soon enough."
Tlandar followed, his heart steady, knowing that at the end of this path—
Chieftain Salgar awaited.
