The Gathering at Boulderkeep

Scouring the Battlefield

The sun hung low over the Plains of Leipira, casting long shadows over the smoldering remains of Ixtiel's war camps. What had once been a place of fortified encampments, war banners, and battle formations was now reduced to ashes and ruin.

Tlandar stood atop a collapsed Formicron, Khalzir and Asharuk strapped to his back, his gaze sweeping across the scattered remains of war.

"Leave nothing standing," he commanded, his voice steady but resolute.

His forces obeyed without hesitation. Val'katl's warriors, Salgaran pilots, and the remnants of the battlefield's survivors moved with purpose, carrying out his orders with unwavering discipline.

Columns of smoke rose into the sky as the last of Ixtiel's encampments burned, their structures torn down and reduced to cinders.

The enemy's banners were trampled into the dirt, weapons confiscated, and whatever remained of Ixtiel's influence was wiped away.

Honoring the Fallen

The task was grim, yet necessary.

Tlandar ordered his warriors to recover every fallen body, both ally and enemy alike. The dead would not be left to rot on the battlefield, nor would their memory be forgotten.

Val'katl's warriors were gathered together, wrapped in cloth, their weapons placed alongside them, to be honored properly back at Boulderkeep. Salgaran pilots who perished were also recovered, their gear carefully taken for preservation. Even Ixtiel's fallen warriors, though enemies, were gathered, their bodies left in a separate area. Some of Ixtiel's remaining forces, having surrendered, watched as their leader's army was erased from the land.

Tlandar did not relish destruction, but he understood its necessity.

War was not just about winning battles—it was about ensuring the enemy could not rise again.

And today, Ixtiel's shadow was gone.

The Seven Generals of Val'katl

With the battlefield secured, Tlandar turned to the future.

Messengers were sent across Astashica, summoning the remaining seven warriors of Val'katl's Eight. These warriors, once trusted champions of their fallen leader, would now serve under Tlandar's command.

When they arrived, he proclaimed them his generals, filling the void left by those lost in battle.

Each was assigned a role—defense, strategy, logistics, and war planning.

Val'katl had fallen, but its warriors would rise again under new leadership.

Gathering at Boulderkeep

Once the battlefield was cleared, Tlandar issued one final command.

"Bring everything to Boulderkeep."

Every churned alloy, every salvaged Formicron, every piece of battlefield debris that could be repurposed was collected. The warriors worked for days, ensuring that nothing of value remained behind.

All of it was transported back to Boulderkeep's warehouses, where it would be reforged for the next stage of war.

With the logistics secured, Tlandar prepared for the next step.

"We leave a contingent behind to guard the trenches and the eastern marshes. The rest—we march to Boulderkeep."

His warriors, now stronger, united, and ready for the next battle, gathered together in a formation unseen since the days of Val'katl himself.

The time for defense was over.

Now, they prepared for war.

And New Asemeri awaited.
