Incomplete fusion

[The Tomb Raider Pathway is the path that can increase a living being's strength.]

[While Crypt Walkers use the energy of death to sustain themselves, Tomb Raider Pathway uses the energy of life itself to transcend one's body's limits.]

Tomb Raiders at their peak were in no ways inferior to Crypt Walkers. While it was hard to destroy the cores of an undead, it was just as hard to kill a Tomb Raider with an extreme healing factor.

Even if you destroy the heart of a Tier 5, they would just regenerate it!

Even the head being crushed was fine if you were prepared

And now, Sett was both a Tomb Raider and a Crypt Walker.

But I don't feel like I have that high of an healing factor, he surmised. I should be healed by the Tomb if I go to my Guardian Room, but that is not really a healing factor but more of a blessing from the Tomb.

He continued to look at the Divine Information.

[Life Energy and Death Energy fundamentally conflicts with one another]

[Thus, if a mummy were to become a Tomb Raider, they wouldn't experience any of the strengthening benefits of a Tomb Raider's vitality. Only living beings can benefit from the pathway, as a mummy's body intrinsically does not have the 'Life Factor']

It didn't make complete sense to Sett but he could understand the gyst of it.

Only living beings could strengthen themselves with Tomb Raider pathway, and only the dead can do that with the Crypt Walker pathway.

No wonder I didn't get to stack the effects of both the Cryptwalker and Tomb Raider pathways. Since I am already quite a bit into the Crypt Walker pathway, in a way, I can be considered an undead in its entirety.

If living beings had a Life Factor, Sett had a complete Death Factor.

Then is becoming a Tomb Raider useless?

He clenched his fists.

Thankfully, the Divine Information had an answer. It seemed to have analyzed his state to answer all the fundamental questions about his state.

[For a mummy, the benefits of becoming a Tomb Raider is not zero. It can help them gain vitality, which can help them regain a healthy appearance and a clearer mind than mummies. And if they can regain their life, there is a possibility of harmonizing their Life Factor and Death Factor to reach a unique state of Harmony.]

Ah, my mind IS indeed clear now.

His mind was no longer so jumbled and messy, his memories were also clearer now. Though, some memories did reappear chaotically.

He hadn't noticed that until he was told.

Nodding to himself, he was just about to close the system when a notification made him focus.

[Due to having a Life Factor and Death Factor at the same time, you can partially fuse fuse the benefits you get from the Tomb Raider pathway and Cryptwalker pathway into one.]

[It will not give you any further benefits but will make the two paths work as one to help you regain life—when your Life and Death Factors reach a balance, it will complete its fusion naturally.]

[Do you wish to proceed?]

Hm, yes?

[Fusing the Tomb Raider and Cryptwalker Pathways into one!]

[You have become a partial Tomb Walker—an incomplete pathway made using the fusion of Tomb Raider and Crypt Walker Pathways]

[Generating new stats.]

Sett curiously watched.

A jolt ran through him, pleasant and powerful.

D-Tier (Tier 1)—"Sacred".

[9/9 Tomb Hearts]

(Absorb a Tier 2 Tomb Heart to evolve)

That didn't change things much, he thought. Just made my appearance better for now.

Yet, what if he completely revived himself and made his Life Factor balance itself with his currently overpowering Death Factor?

Sett didn't know what exactly that would do to his body.

And that was not that hard for Sett. Others might find it impossible, but Sett had the Axiom of Reincarnation and one of its abilities had the power to heal all wounds for a price. If he could use that, his Life Factor should receive a major boost!

For now, he could not do any of that, so he closed the system and looked towards Zainah.

His eyes immediately lit up.

The girl beside her had grown a fresh arm!

It was much paler than her other arm, which looked tanned.

But this meant one thing. Zarah was talented in becoming a Tomb Raider. Not everyone was capable of that.

The girl was part of the luckier half of the population.

Even as he watched, he arm slowly regained its color, the pale skin blending more naturally with the rest of her olive, desert-loved olive skin. But the arm still looked more malnourished than anything, almost lacking flesh on bones.

Yet, Sett was relieved.

Since she had talent, there was no need to find a healer outside the Tomb. The Tomb Heart had done the work for them, healing her wound and awakening her potential as a Tomb Raider.

Zainah, still kneeling beside her sister, looked up at Sett with a mixture of relief and gratitude, though her eyes still held a hint of wariness. Due to her adrenaline, she didn't even register Sett's completely human, attractive appearance yet.

"She's going to be fine," Sett said. "But she's not out of the woods yet. She needs to absorb the remaining Tomb Hearts to stabilize her body and fully awaken her potential. Continue feeding her."

Zainah nodded, her hands trembling slightly as she picked up the remaining Tomb Hearts from the floor. She hesitated for a moment, glancing at Sett.

"Will this… hurt her?"

"No. It'll feel strange, maybe even overwhelming, but it won't hurt. She's already absorbed one, so her body knows what to do. Just feed her the rest, one at a time."

Zainah took a deep breath and carefully placed another Tomb Heart into Zarah's mouth. The girl, still unconscious, instinctively swallowed it. Almost immediately, a faint glow emanated from her body, and her breathing steadied.

The pale arm began to fill out, matching the muscle definition of her other arm.

Sett watched closely, his sharp eyes noting every change.

Zarah's body was adapting quickly, a sign that she had a natural affinity for the Tomb Raider pathway.

Sett himself was an epitome of talent since he was young, so eating a Tomb Heart always made him immediately level up. But that was not the case for everyone. Less talented people usually took hours to digest Tomb Hearts—though, talented Tomb Raiders were not that rare either.

"Give her the next one," Sett instructed.

Zainah complied, feeding Zarah another Tomb Heart.

This time, the glow around Zarah intensified, and her body twitched slightly as the energy coursed through her.

Sett could see the faint outline of her muscles tightening, her body growing stronger with each passing moment.

The girl also became visibly more beautiful due to a livelier aura.

By the time Zainah fed her the sixth and final Tomb Heart, Zarah's eyes fluttered open.

She blinked, disoriented, before her gaze landed on Zainah.

"Sis…?" she murmured, her voice weak but clear.

"Zarah! You're awake! How do you feel?"

Zarah frowned, holding her sister's hand.

Her other hand instinctively moved to her newly grown arm.

She then pouted, feeling a plethora of incredibly weird sensations.

Why did everything seem so clear?

Why was she hearing even Zainah's heartbeat?

Why were her senses so sharp?

It felt a bit sickening. But she decided it was due to just having woken up.

And didn't she lose her arm earlier?

Ptew. Ptew.

Never.

That must have been a dream.

"I… I feel weird. Like something had been moving inside me. It feels… good, I'm full of energy due to that. But I also feel… heavy?"

She seemed half asleep.

"That's normal," Sett interjected. He couldn't help but have a good impression of the girl. "Your body is adjusting to the Tomb Hearts."

"Uh?" She didn't register his words, just staring at the stranger with confusion.

Who the fuck was this?

Sett continued. "You've just become a Tomb Raider. A High-level Tier 1 Tomb Raider to be precise. So you must be confused by the intensity of your senses."

Zarah blinked, confused.

For a second, she didn't even think about that crucial information and just stared at Sett.

"Who is this handsome twink sis?" she murmured, half dazed. "Some sort of prince?"

She had never seen someone so… handsome.

Sett immediately perked up.

What a cute girl!

Zainah stole a glance and suddenly, even she froze.

Sett now looked like a completely different person. His black hair was long and chaotic, dark and lively. It almost seemed to devour the light around him. And a unique pair of deep golden eyes gleamed against a stunningly handsome face.

He was naked, standing in a pose to show off, and stood straight with his sculpted physique. He also had a light smile on his face, gentle and pure. Sett looked young, dashing, masculine.

More than anything, he was completely naked.

Sett raised his head like a proud peacock. He even showed his chiseled jawline off with a subtle hand movement.

It all came naturally. It was a skill that all narcissists possessed by nature.

Sadly for him—his legendary manhood was now shriveled. After all—how can an undead have a working manhood?

Oh no…

His face immediately fell at the realization.

"How corny is this guy?" Zarah said, blushing as she covered her eyes with her hands. "Who is this guy really?"

She looked towards her sister and became even more confused.

Why was her sister's face so red?

Why was her expression so shy?

Suddenly, a thought struck her.

No way.

Impossible.

My big sister? No way.

She looked at the unknown man with disbelief. Sett had gone to take some bandages to cover his own limp manhood. He seemed incredibly embarrassed, his face a shade of incredible gloom.

No matter what, mummies can't make their thing stand after all.

Sett's eyes twitched as he covered himself.

Zainah just watched her sister, face flushed. But deep down, all her energy began to drain.

She was relieved.

So.

So relieved.

"Hey brother, did you do something to my sis?" Zarah asked.

Sett chuckled. For a few seconds, everyone remained silent.

Then, he became cocky again as he checked his own muscles.

Then, Zarah shrieked. "I AM A TOMB RAIDER?!"
