When we tried to help the three, Sharin and I were quickly surrounded. Back to back, we prepared for the Naga women who seemed ready to attack us at any moment. It seems they were also waiting for an opportunity for us to attack.
A Naga jumped from my side. This is the one who started the attack of the other women, one after another.
I pointed my sword at the first one. At the last moment, my opponent dodged with an agile movement from my sword strike.
She dodged my attack and I ended up losing my balance, so I was violently grabbed. I was quickly grabbed and thrown to the ground. I did my best to make my attacker's hand release my face.
Sharin could be seen through the gap between the fingers of the Naga hovering over me. She is grabbed by the collar and lifted high. It seems she is planning to throw her away.
However, when Sharin tried to perform her move, her two arms were grabbed and her legs became heavy due to the heavy tail, so she couldn't move.
At that moment, a man silently appeared from the bushes and cut off the arm of the Naga, who was holding Sharin. The Naga who was cut ended up throwing Sharin away and started screaming in pain.
Then, he took the woman off me, grabbed my arms and lifted me up.
Before I could thank him, the man dodged the attacks with smooth movements and dispersed the swarm of women with minimal attacks.
Faced with this sudden reinforcement, the women let out cries of frustration and dispersed, disappearing into the forest.
I picked up a torch that was nearby and lit up the area. The man was also from the Naga tribe and seemed to be a year older than me. The thin beard that grows on the wrinkles around his eyes gives him the masculinity of a cowboy in a western movie.
"Thank you, you saved me."
When I thanked him, the man put the swords he was holding with both hands back into their sheaths and gave a wry smile.
"Hahaha, that was close. You guys are adventurers. Exploring the forest at night seems to be quite advanced for your group."
We explained to the man that we are travelers and have a camp nearby.
"Well, let's get our luggage first. It would be a problem if thieves took it."
We decided to take the Naga man back to our camp.
