Chapter 11: The Curtain is About to Rise

Three years. A long time and yet, it passed in the blink of an eye.

At the **Tenma City** secret colony, Yang Hui led everyone to complete all preparations just a week before the official start of the plan.

The first task was the enhancement and modification of the mechs.

The first step was general enhancements: All Gundams were equipped with new solar furnaces, reinforced with stronger joint armor, and fitted with all-around spherical cockpits. They were also equipped with two beam sabers and GN field generators capable of creating particle shields composed of GN particles within a short period. However, the energy consumption was significant, and it couldn't be used regularly.

The Celestial Being Gundam (Celestial Gundam) underwent a transformation in its armament. The original GN sword and GN pistol combo was upgraded to a three-in-one combination that included a GN shield, GN pistol, and GN sword. Additionally, the plan for adding GN long and short swords was scrapped in favor of six GN throwing short swords, each with an E-carbon steel wire for retrieval.

The Virtue Gundam's biggest change was its cockpit, which was also modified into a spherical one. The original sniper targeting system was removed for a simpler interface, eliminating the need for Lockon to release control during sniper maneuvers and pass control to Haro. The external armor remained largely the same, but the GN shield was removed and replaced with a new camouflage membrane generator, enabling the Virtue to remain hidden during combat and truly becoming a silent death bringer.

The Virtue Gundam's modification also included two GN rifles. The rifles could be connected to form a long-range GN rifle, which allowed for a more effective form of firepower. The addition of GN shields and heavy GN pistols made the Virtue the protector of the Celestial Gundam.

The main Gundam had its entire structure reworked to make it more compact and efficient. The GN cannons mounted on the back were adjusted, and the combination weapon of GN shield and GN heat sword was replaced with dual GN gun-shields. The lower legs were fitted with three GN missile launchers, and the rear was outfitted with universal interfaces for deploying GN missile bays or auxiliary thrusters.

The Dynames Gundam, with its new E-carbon armor, replaced its powerful GN rocket launcher with two GN cannons, which could merge into a GN rocket launcher. The dual GN cannons on the shoulders were replaced with GN rapid-fire cannons to counter high-mobility enemies, while the waist now featured small, foldable GN cannons. The Dynames Gundam became a heavy firepower mobile fortress.

Finally, Yang Hui's **Secret Angel Gundam** was designed specifically for his combat style and piloting skills. The Secret Angel was no longer equipped with a GN shield, nor did it retain the classic fighter configuration. Instead, it was modified with dual solar furnaces. While Yang Hui had no plans to become the trailblazer, the power of dual furnaces was immense, despite some unresolved technical issues. The dual furnaces allowed the Secret Angel to remain in battle for extended periods during large-scale chaos.

The armament of the Secret Angel was formidable: Dual GN submachine guns, thirty-two GN bits that unfolded like wings behind the Gundam, and sixteen gun-shaped GN bits integrated within sixteen shield-type GN bits. In addition to the GN beam sabers hidden in the wrists, there were two GN physical long swords on the waist, ready to be used as a countermeasure against GN weapons.

It seemed powerful enough to take on the current three major nations.

But this was just the stripped-down version. Due to time constraints and Ioeria's objections, Yang Hui might have even crazier plans in store.

"The first-phase plan is to focus the world's contradictions on ourselves, not to directly annihilate them!"

That's what he said.

But even with such a configuration, Yang Hui was still worried that once the three major nations got their hands on the pseudo-solar furnaces, things could go awry. He knew very well the capabilities of the **Trapped Formation** and **Behind the Fortress**, and how they would perform once equipped with pseudo-solar furnaces.

So, the Gundam modifications were complete, and Yang Hui turned his attention to the **Trellis** battleship.

"Who's the genius that said transport ships don't need armament? They must have a brain full of crap," Yang Hui muttered upon seeing the Trellis.

GN particles could interfere with all radar signals, and the transport ship would be undetectable—what nonsense! Yang Hui was nearly ready to slam his PAD into the face of the person who said that.

A space battleship without weapons? What does that make it, a giant coffin?

Undetectable? Don't be ridiculous. There's more than one way I know to find the Trellis!

Previously, Sergei used a classic tactic of scattering small communicators across the vast expanse of space. If one communicator lost contact, it meant there was something there.

Thus, Yang Hui, along with Ian and Linda, began to overhaul the Trellis, restructuring it entirely. They separated the navigation bridge from the secondary command bridge (reference to the Minerva-class), removed the detachable Gynaku, and replaced it with a large internal Gynaku. Three launchers ensured that the Gundams could be deployed in the shortest time possible. As for armament: six large GN cannons, ten small GN cannons, eight flat GN cannons, GN rapid-fire defense modules, GN torpedoes, GN missile launch ports, and more.

The ship was also outfitted with a large GN field generator, an optical camouflage system, and an unsealed Trans-Am system—just in case they needed to make a quick escape.

The entire ship was 359 meters long, more than twice the length of the original 154 meters, and heavily armed. Ioeria questioned, "Are you sure this is a transport ship, not a cruiser?"

Yang Hui replied, "Better safe than sorry. Worst-case scenario, I'll just go easy on them."

Not wanting to die, Yang Hui had no choice but to arm himself to the teeth. With the ability to decide his own limits, he wasn't going to set any lower limits.

After receiving all the data, even Leesa was speechless. The preparations were so heavy, it seemed like they were declaring war on the three major nations, not just preparing for military intervention.

This caused her to completely rewrite all the plans she had made, reassessing the power balance between the enemies and allies and determining where to ease up, and by how much.

After three days and nights of intense work, Leesa finally reworked the plan and dragged Yang Hui into a room for some "harsh" punishment.

With the equipment taken care of, it was time to focus on the Gundam pilots' piloting skills. After a year of "coaching," the five Gundam pilots' skills showed significant improvement. There would be no more situations like the Celestial Gundam almost being taken down by a Flag suit or Iron Man's head being ripped off.

Perhaps the shared suffering also played a role. The five pilots had developed a much better synergy, and there would no longer be instances of no cooperation or even sabotaging each other during battle.

To prevent the Gundam pilots from falling into the same conflicts as in the original plot, Yang Hui revealed everyone's true identities. On the battlefield, they were close comrades, and while they shouldn't be expected to take a bullet for each other, there couldn't be any backstabbing either.

Initially, the Dylandy brothers were unable to accept Setsuna's identity, as their parents and sister had died at the hands of the terrorist organization Setsuna had once worked for. But after learning that Setsuna had been brainwashed and had even killed his own parents, they forgave him after understanding his true intentions.

Tiera initially opposed it as well. After all, the Gundam pilots' identities were top-secret. They had to keep them hidden even from each other to avoid one of them being captured and betraying the others. However, after communicating with VEDA, he accepted Yang Hui's decision.

As a result, Tiera, under Yang Hui's guidance, had started to develop a human side—good news indeed.

Finally, there was Allelujah, and his past as a super soldier had drawn sympathy from the group. Though it wasn't as intense as the others, it was still there. To put it bluntly, wasn't the Gundam pilot's past a tragedy?

Even Tiera, as a man-made change-maker created to execute the **Celestial Being** plan, had one singular mission in life—to execute the plan. Anything beyond that was "nothingness."

Yang Hui speculated that Tiera's eventual awakening as a purebred change-maker was due to his exposure to humanity.

So far, all preparations were complete. What remained was success or failure, life or death—everything was still unknown. But Yang Hui was confident that he would lead everyone to survive.

...

One week later, at the **Human Revolution** headquarters in **Tianzhu**, Wang Liwei received the news of Yang Hui's arrival.

"Long time no see, Myer."

"Yo, long time no see, little girl. You're getting more and more beautiful."

"Hehe, thank you for the compliment. Please come with me, Myer. The car is ready."

"Mm."

Yang Hui followed Wang Liwei into the car. On the way to the temporary base, Yang Hui asked, "Is everything arranged?"

"Everything is arranged. The two Gundam pilots and their Gundams have safely arrived and are awaiting the mission's start. Your mech has also been received and is located in the underground secret Gynaku of the temporary residence."

"Are you sure it's safe?"

"Of course. It's a private island I purchased, and everyone there is my trusted subordinate."

"Shh, you're such a rich girl."

"You flatter me. If you want, all of this can be yours."

"Thanks, but no thanks."

"Hehehe, Myer, you're still so heartless. Haven't you noticed?"

As she said that, Wang Liwei leaned closer to Yang Hui, gradually becoming more clingy.

"Ahem, are you planning to invite me in?" Yang Hui quickly pushed Wang Liwei away.

"Myer's implying that if I want to, I can?" Wang Liwei teased with a wink.

"I didn't say that! I didn't! Stop making things up!"

"Hahaha, Myer, you're so cute now."

"I... you..." Yang Hui was frustrated, but couldn't really do anything about it, only getting more and more agitated.

This girl was getting more and more beautiful, and bolder too. She was basically teasing a normal male almost in his twenties—this was tempting fate!

This wasn't good... Om mani padme hum.

After crossing mountains and oceans, Yang Hui finally arrived at Wang Liwei's private island, heading straight to the underground Gynaku. Standing before his **Secret Angel**, pride welled up in his chest.

"From a shut-in in my past life to a Gundam pilot now."

"Myer, I've received a message from Leesa. The **Celestial Being** plan will officially commence tomorrow at 0900 hours," Wang Liwei said.

"Mm, inform the audience. They can wait for the show to begin."
