Aimless

Numb. My entire body felt numb.

Christian's silence cut me deeper than I expected. I finally confessed my feelings for him, but they were met with complete silence.

I can't work here. At least not today.

I didn't know where I was headed, but I found myself standing outside, looking around aimlessly. There was no way I could call the driver and go back home; rather, I didn't want to go home.

The streets were full of life. Everyone was out and about, going about their business. I quietly looked around, observing the people around me.

Some people weaved through the crowded streets, running as if they were late for work, while others leisurely took a stroll as they sipped on their coffees.

Coffee. Maybe I can go visit that coffee shop again?
