I heard this and couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Edgar, do you even believe what you're saying?"
Still staring at me intently, Edgar seemed to be desperately trying to find some flaw in my expression.
"Just admit it, you've known all along, haven't you? You know her, Vivienne's that kind of woman - just a cheap floozy."
Edgar's eyes were blazing with fury. His arm shot up, attempting to strike me, but was sharply stopped by a police officer who had hurried over.
"What do you think you're doing! Behave yourself!"
"You're Edgar's family member, right? Come over here to talk."
The ten-minute conversation ended quickly. Edgar's offense was minor; he could leave after signing some papers.
As we were walking out of the police station, a door to an interrogation room suddenly opened. Vivienne was escorted out by a police officer.
