Ren lay sprawled on the ground, one arm draped over his ribs as the faint sting of internal bruising pulsed through his side. His breathing was shallow, but his mind was racing. Minor
Regeneration was already doing its work, stitching his muscles back together, but he wouldn't be getting up anytime soon—not after that hit.
The sound of heavy boots echoed closer. All Might stood over him, his broad frame illuminated by the flickering lights and the haze of smoke drifting through the corridor. His gaze wasn't fierce or accusing. Instead, it held something else—concern.
Ren gritted his teeth. He wanted to seem like he hated the heroes, even though he didn't really care.
All Might kneeled beside him, placing a firm but gentle hand on Ren's shoulder and put on his classic smile. "It's over," he said softly.
Ren glared up at him, golden eyes narrowed, His voice came out like a moody teenager. "I don't need your help."
All Might exhaled slowly, the kind of sigh that spoke of experience. "You don't have to do this. Fighting us.."
Ren chuckled bitterly, putting on his most convincing voices though the sound hurt his ribs. "You think you can help me, you fucking heroes are all the same huh?"
Even though Ren didn't mean any of this, his body and mind where still that of a thirteen year old boy, so to stop himself from crying he just stopped talking.
All Might didn't flinch. His expression remained calm and hero like, but there was a hint of sadness beneath it. " you're not a villain, Ren. ill make sure you are looked after once this is all over, your just kid after all" he laughed.
Ren scoffed, rolling his head to the side as if the conversation bored him. He looked emotionlessly into the distance.
'I can almost feel the influence points, yeah baby!' thought ren as he couldn't keep a hint of smirk off his face.
Ren's lip curled into a smirk, but his gaze flickered with something else
The hallway fell silent except for the distant crackle of flames and the hum of nearby destruction. Ren's smirk faded slightly, but he didn't respond. His throat tightened, and he hated that.
Footsteps approached—heavy, deliberate. Endeavor strode into view, his flames still smoldering faintly. His eyes swept over the scene: Ren on the ground, blood staining his clothes, and Mount Lady being treated by medics farther down the corridor. His gaze hardened.
"This the one?" Endeavor's voice was gruff, and there was no trace of pity in it.
All Might nodded. "Yes."
Endeavor's jaw clenched, and his flames crackled briefly before fading. "He nearly killed her."
Ren sat up slightly, and looked away,
Endeavor's nostrils flared. "You think this isn't a serious kid? I will admit, you're quite powerful for your age? But just because all for one raised you doesn't give you any excuse for your actions today!"
Endeavor's gaze darkened, but before he could say anything else, All Might stood and placed himself between them. "That's enough," All Might said firmly. "We're taking him in, and we'll do it the right way."
"The right way?" Endeavor snorted. "This isn't a rescue mission, All Might. He's dangerous. You saw what he did."
All Might didn't back down. "He's a kid. He needs help."
Endeavor's eyes flicked toward Ren, his expression unreadable. "Don't say I didn't warn you when he turns into a villian."
Ren grinned faintly. " Ha, Ha, HaI'm flattered."
All Might crouched down again, ignoring Endeavor as he spoke directly to Ren. "We're going to get you out of here," he said gently. "And after that, we'll find you a good home. People who can help you."
All Might shook his head. "Everyone needs a place where they can feel safe."
Ren wanted to laugh, but his ribs protested. He looked away, letting his hair fall over his eyes. "Do what you want."
All Might carefully lifted him into his arms, cradling him as though he weighed nothing. Ren's body was limp, but he was far from unconscious. This was exactly where he wanted to be.
As All Might carried him down the hallway, the warmth of the hero's presence contrasted sharply with the cold, broken world Ren had just left behind. He closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the distant battle fading as they exited the compound.
