20. Troublesome Sword

After a few hours sightseeing Eryndor returned to the motel, exhausted from his day's adventures. Maid Fianna and Manager Lyrien greeted him warmly, their faces lighting up with friendly smiles. Behind Eryndor, a hooded and submissive goblin, Krog, trailed quietly, exuding an air of subordination.

Eryndor approached Lyrien and requested, "Could you please move Krog to one of the normal rooms?"

Manager Lyrien nodded. "Of course, Eryndor. I'll see to it right away."

Meanwhile, in a desolate area far from Ravenshire, an Advanced Lich, named Xaren, gazed into his crystal orb. A red dot blinked within its depths, catching his attention. "Could it be? Has little brother Xandros returned already? I must meet him," Xaren muttered to himself, his voice dripping with an air of superiority. He decided to travel to Ravenshire, his dark energies stirring with anticipation.

A stunning, pointy-eared woman with an hourglass figure and a tail ending in an arrowhead shape appeared in Ravenshire, commanding the attention of every dark creature. Two small horns protruded from her forehead, and a crow perched on her left shoulder. Her presence exuded power, equal to that of the Angels, and her beauty was mesmerizing. The male dark creatures salivated at the sight of her, but none dared approach, intimidated by her aura of respect.

The crow, sensing its mistress's gaze, spoke up, "I can feel that scoundrel's energy, mistress. When we find him, let me chew on his bones."

The Demoness, named Vylonia, smiled, her voice husky. "You may, my dear Noir."

In an instant, Vylonia vanished and reappeared above the motel where Eryndor resided. The young man was currently napping, sleeping fitfully and talking in his sleep.

"I'm a secret agent... my codename is 'Eryndor the Unconscious'... my mission is to sleep through anything." Eryndor shouted in his sleep.

Vylonia and Noir cracked up at the joke, and Vylonia said, "I think he's already accomplished his mission!"

Vylonia's gaze landed on the sword beside Eryndor, and her expression turned curious. "Why does this human have that scoundrel's sword?" she wondered aloud.

Noir asked if she would like him to interrogate Eryndor, but Vylonia declined, her playful face hinting at a more mischievous plan. "Let's just watch him for a while. I'm sure he'll provide us with plenty of entertainment."

Vylonia materialized in front of Manager Lyrien, who was taken aback by her sudden appearance. Even Maid Fianna seemed nervous, her eyes wide with fear. Vylonia commanded, "Give me a room beside the man."

Manager Lyrien, intimidated by Vylonia's power, had no choice but to comply. "Y-yes, of course. Room 314 is available. It's right next to... the human's room."

Vylonia smiled, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Perfect. I'll be sure to... keep an eye on him."

After travelling for twelve hours Xaren arrived in Ravenshire, his dark presence stirring the shadows. "It's been a while since I've seen my little brother," he mused, his voice filled with amusement and a hint of menace. "I hope he's not gotten himself into too much trouble... again."
