Rebecca

Emmanuel had already walked quite the meters. He thought he had successfully fooled Mr David. While Mr David who was still seated where he was just let out a light laughter, " Children would always be children ", he muttered lowly in a voice only him could hear.

Emmanuel returned to his working spot and continued with his work for a few more hours and then soon. Soon the sun slowly slid away back to it resting place as darkness drew closer and closer to the world. It was at a crucial point between day and night.

Emmanuel on noticing the change of colour in the atmosphere checked picked up his POS machine and pressed the power button. The lock screen which had time imprinted at it's upper part popped up.

At the point where the time was located in the lock screen, there was currently four figures and one symbol on it. " 06:36 " was imprinted on it. This meant that the time was thirty six minutes past six, which also meant that the time for his working time to be over had already passed by six good minutes.

Emmanuel immediately stood up. He picked his POS machine and put it into his bag. But then for the book, the only way it could fit in to his little bag was for Emmanuel to squeeze it in and this was something Emmanuel was not willing to do. Having no other choice, he left it on the table for now. He unmounted the really big umbrella above him. This was the umbrella market traders in Nigerian usually used to shield them from sun. This umbrella are usually unfolded and then fixed to something Nigerians calls a rim. This thing served to keep in place and from being blown away by the wind.

As soon as he finished folding the umbrella, he picked it up and then also also picked up the rim with his other hand, before walking off. Leaving the table and chair behind.

After a short while, he was back. He had drooped the two equipment at a spot where they usually drop it every night before going home. This was because the equipment's were quite heavy and so they would pose a great work to take it back to his madam's house.

And then for the table and chair which were quite light weight, he picked them up with the book he had previously left on top of the table and then began his journey back to his madam house for the final balancing of the day, so that he could go home. He was already very tired as the day was quite stressful.

In no time, he reached the compound gates, and then his madams section, and then the little stall. He proceeded to go in as this was where their final balancing for the day usually took place.

As soon as he got in, he was greeted with the sight of three people seating, just in different postures. One was seated on the table, with one of his legs on it while the other on the ground, this was Mr David. Emmanuel didn't actually need any form of confirmation to know it was Mr David as this was typical Mr David character. On the other hand, the two remaining people were women. To be more precise, one woman and then one female youth.

The woman was Mrs Amarachi, Emmanuel's madam. She was currently seated close to the door leading to outside, with her right hand resting on the Large table that was nailed to the middle of the shop, and then her chin resting on the right hand. She seemed to be in some sort of thought.

The third person who is also the female youth sat behind the table. She was seated on a chair behind the table and currently had her right hand on the table. She had a pen on her hand and was writing something on a book on the table. ' She has started her balancing ' Emmanuel spoke inwardly.

Emmanuel immediately greeted all of them. He dropped the chair in his hands and then went to a spot behind the small store. He then dropped the table there and came back to the store. HE picked up his chair and placed it beside his co-worker Rebecca and then sat down. Without saying a word, he picked up his pen and started his balancing.

In no time boy Emmanuel and Rebecca were done. Mrs Amarachi went through their calculations and when she couldn't find any problem, she told them they could go. As soon as they heard her, they immediately picked up their things and was about to begin their journey when she suddenly stopped them. " Ma " They both answered.

They turned back towards her. Mrs Amarachi was currently holding two pieces of money, five hundred naira note each. Her hands were currently stretched out with the money in them. Smiles immediately came into the faces of the two youth. Though they had done as if they were in a rush to go home, but they actually weren't in any rush. It was all tactics.

" Thank you ma " They both said in a not so uniform voice and with that, they started their journey home.
